Cody, kind of a low blow.
You're right I shouldn't have used his dead friend as tool in my argument.
Oh wait.... That was him that did that wasn't it?
The fact that some idiot got far too intoxicated and killed his friend is a tragedy but bears no relevance as to why you or I should get arrested for drinking a Bud Light on the way home from work.
Prohibiting us all from an action because a small minority can't do it responsibly is ridiculous. I'm curious (as he dodged the question several times prior) how he feels when the gun control crowd uses dead kids as an emotional plee to promote their cause.
A tool in your argument. First off it wasnt an argument. I was answering 8188s question. YOU interjected in that conversation without reading.
I didn't dodge the question moron. I answered the question. I fully support any law that prohibits removing altering substances from anyone carrying a gun either lawfully or unlawfully. That is the apples to apples argument at hand that I made that you didnt fully read. Dont twist this to fit your damn argument.
So since you want to bring up dodging what about my last few posts above where I make it absolutely clear the conversation you jumped in to.
I was wondering how long it would take for you to insult me. The first sentence. You didn't disappoint.
Uhhh where did I insult you in the first sentence? You said "a tool in your argument". I was quoting you. Maybe the word tool struck a nerve cause that is how you are acting.I did however later on call you a moron.
Just move on. Its clear you do not want to admit you jumped the gun and made an ass of yourself.
So guns can't be dangerous without alcohol?
Absolutely they can. I was questioning operating a vehicle while drinking a beer. So what would be the equal analogy here with guns since you keep wanting to bring that up?
I didnt question the open container law for the passenger anywhere did I?
I don't think irresponsible drinking should go unpunished. But drinking a beer while driving isn't, by itself, necessarily irresponsible.
I probably would think different if I had a loved one get killed by drunk driver but that wouldn't make me right.
Why can't we punish people when they do bad and leave them alone when they don't?
It's to help prevent tragic events from happening....the majority that drive while drinking will eventually fail the sobriety test as they keep drinking....it's like saying if a guy walks into a school with a loaded shotgun that we shouldn't try to stop him until he has killed the first kid.

2 questions
1) lets say you are named CEO/president of your hospital. You now have the ability to change all of the policies in your hospital. Would you make drinking beer acceptable in all of your nursing break rooms?
2) Let's say your daughter is scheduled for T&A removal surgery. While you are walking in to the hospital you see her surgeon enjoying a cold one, but he doesnt appear impaired from what you can tell.. Still going through with the surgery?
Since some of you can't figure this out on your own, I'll help you:
Open containers should not be illegal. Driving intoxicated should be illegal. If someone has an open container, field test them. If they fail, then blood test them.
But having an open container does not mean you are intoxicated. Just like having an open bottle of oxy doesn't mean you're not capable of safely operating a vehicle.

The difference here is the legal limit. The legal limit at work (depending on the employer is normally zero). That's not the case for driving. So once again:
Why should it be illegal?
I don't understand your logic......u will argue for days if a cop gets in a fight where a career criminal gets hurt or killed but drunk driving that kills an American every 28 minutes and injured over 290,000 Americans a yr....you are for relaxing the laws to help prevent it.
