You may want to research that story a little further Huff... there were witnesses that saw the dude unsheathe the sword and he had made a Facebook post that said something along the lines of I have a sword and I'm going to get shot.

But in your mind and several others....the cracker ass cops went out on a blood lust for blacks

I have to constantly make that claim due to the constant b*tching and whining from the likes of you and the other cop haters that think when I call the victim a dumbass that I'm somehow supporting the cops.

If you go back and look I've sided with the cops some of the time and with the victims some of the time.....unlike you and several others that automatically condemn the cops regardless of the situation.

Interesting. Do we need to revisit the ferguson thread or the George Zimmerman thread to check my views? I'll let you do your homework, since you're convinced I always condemn the cops.

I wasn't saying you said that but there are people in here that aren't bothered by the fact that this man, criminal or not, was entitled to Due Process.

There are some people in here that haven't outright said "he doesn't deserve due process" but have effectively said "he sold drugs, I don't care if the cops killed him".

That's completely messed up. Criminal or not, he deserved due process.

But there are also people that are saying that they'd go live with an AR against protesters/rioters on the street so there's that.

There are loads of incentives for a DA to decline to bring charges against bad cops, and very few pushing in the direction of indictment. Police organizations and their supporters are loud, powerful and well organized. They can make a DA’s day-to-day professional life pretty miserable, and an endorsement of a DA’s opponent in the next election could end a prosecutor’s career. At worst, a controversial decision to not file charges might bring some protests. But few DAs need to worry about not getting reelected because they neglected to charge a cop — even one who clearly broke the law. Or at least that’s the case right now.

And how many of them involved unqualified black cops?

Not saying that black cops can't be just as violent (because there have been cases), but the overwhelming majority of these cases (meaning well over 50%) don't involve black cops.

What about the guy with the busted spine? Or the guy that was shot in the back in OKC when he was "accidentally" shot while he was already on the ground about to be tased?

If the OKC incident involved the old reserve cop then he should've never been there. Murder? Maybe. The other not so much. In some instances I think there's a fine line between police brutality and doing what you have to do. It's not an easy job and it's not alway pretty. It also involves a lot of excessive force. Murder is usually pretty clear cut.

Just a guess......it makes it easier on the cop when arresting someone for drinking and driving. Cuts out the guesswork if he suspects the driver is drinking it prevents him from handing it to his buddy in the passenger seat. Also probably reduces temptation for the driver.

In the scenario you laid out, I imagine there would also be some kind of field sobriety test, followed by some kind of blood alcohol or breathalyzer.

So why is the can relevant? Also why shouldn't the driver or passenger be allowed to have a beer?

Because a few always ruins it for the many... If you are an adult and have not figured some of these questions you ask out, then I guess you never will..

So you're fine with a guy driving down the road drinking a beer? Lose a loved one to a drunk driver and see if it changes your tune. I have.

So it appears that to make the cop's job easier and because jp had a loved one die are the reasons. Most importantly though... Because they say so.
