Because we are talking about whether there should be drug prohibition or not. You are stuck on the notion that drugs are bad for you and that addicts can do bad things. That's common knowledge. Now let's discuss how prohibition helps to eliminate any of those issues.
I think all pregnant women should be on legally mandated bed rest (too many bad things can happen when you get out of bed).
They should only be allowed to eat smoothies made by certified dietitians.
And if they violate these laws, they should be arrested for endangering their fetus.
Just to be clear,
You're admitting that no drug you know of changes ones ability to tell right from wrong?
If you can name a drug and show me the studies, then let's talk about them. But to just say "addiction changes people" is a weak argument.
Do you agree that drugs alter one's perception? That people who are under the influence make irrational decisions? That impaired individuals do things that they normally wouldn't do?.,...could it be that some of these things could be wrong?..... Perhaps?

I'd much rather be around a bunch of stoners than drunken idiots. Alcohol is bad enough and causes enough problems on its own.... Why throw gasoline on the fire and legalize more?
See my post above .....

This may have already been shared...I couldn't find it amongst all the sniping in this thread. If so, carry on.
South Carolina Cop Charged With Murder in Black Mans Death
Video Shows Officer Michael Slager Shooting Unarmed Black Man In The Back In South Carolina
The number of law enforcement officers who have shot unarmed civilians and gone free over the past year has been extremely discouraging, but the fact that this policeman was arrested so swiftly shows that there can be justice for victims so long as a bystander is nearby, has a camera phone on them, captures the whole interaction, and several dozen other circumstances play out in the precise sequence, said North Charleston, SC resident Jenine Williams, echoing the sentiments of millions of Americans who told reporters they have faith that, as long as a fair-minded eyewitness happens to be passing by at the exact right time; has the inclination to stop and film; an unobstructed view; enough battery life and memory on their phone; a steady hand; the forethought to start filming an interaction with the police before it escalates into violence; is close enough to get detailed footage, but far enough away to avoid being shot themselves or seen by the officer and potentially having their phone confiscated; and it is daytime, then justice would certainly be served.
I have a 17-year-old son who I worry about every day when he heads out into our neighborhood. But now I can take heart knowing that if, God forbid, he were ever in a situation like this, there would be a tiny fraction of a chance that every single element would fall into place and my family would receive the fair and just legal outcome we deserve.
So your argument is "Alcohol is bad enough, why legalize/decriminalize other drugs?"
Is that really the angle you want to take here? I'll give you a minute to rethink your strategy because you obviously aren't prepared to give a satisfactory explanation for why you believe what you believe. And hopefully your new argument will also address your views on individual freedoms and government control.
