One bar at a time, 8188. Perhaps another day.

Although, the greatest gay bar name is already taken and it's here in Austin.

OCH... or better known as Oil Can Harry's.

Wrong again....I lived in Memphis for 5 years. Gay bar named The Pumping Station there.

Unless you are pursuing a proven rapist or murderer, I don't think anything warrant shots in the back.

He's being charged for a reason. If you want to claim racism on this end, you also have to claim it on the end that led to the shots fired. But, given the first sentence in your post, it sounds like you surprisingly accept that it exists within southern LEO's.
Maybe the guy's cap was on backwards, and the cop thought he was shooting him in the front.

The Drager/Scott press conference got ugly today. Members of the audience and press were berating the Mayor and Chief of Police. Don't think they understand that SLED (South Carolina Law Enforcement Division) is investigating as they are an independent entity. Ugly situation all the way around.

Bringing up race in the discussion is quite tiresome, however, as that does not seem to play into this situation whatsoever. One idiotic reporter brought up that 80% of Charleston police officers are white, and asked what will be done to increase the amount of black police officers? The mayor answered his dumbass question swiftly: there are not a large quantity of certified black candidates that apply! God I'm sick of the race-baiting in this country.

Why is it you guys cannot connect the dots on this? Dude would have been issued a citation or arrested and shortly released had he not ran from the cops.
I'm not saying the guy signed his death warrant when he decided to run, but even the dumbest SOB knows that at the very least an ass whipping is coming when you're caught.

Let's review the shootings we've discussed and see if there is s common denominator.....

Mike Brown..... Reached inside the cop's car for his weapon...., dumb
Guy throwing baseball size rocks at the cops and then running ......dumb
Guy refusing to drop a screw driver after being ordered to by two cops with their guns drawn..... Dumb
Guy gets pulled over for a tail light citation and runs from the cop...... Dumb

CP, that was an execution. When someone is running away, you chase them. You don't gun them down from behind with 8 shots.

It's disgusting, and I honestly don't see how anyone can justify this.

This isn't a very good analogy Mercy.....

It's a fine analogy. Your argument is that there is a cause and an effect. The man ran(the cause), and he died(the effect). It's a simple and dumb argument to make, as we can easily demonstrate in a number of examples where a cause will result in an effect.

You yelled at your neighbor(the cause), he has a mental breakdown and shoots you(the effect). Had you not yelled at your neighbor, he would not have taken his frustrations out on you. Cause and effect.

So, with this in mind, we can easily see that cause and effect is poor defense for the actions taken here. I'm not sure how comforted your family would be when the police tells them had you simply not yelled at your neighbor, you would still be alive. That's what you're doing right now. Ignoring the real problem, that a murder has taken place, and the man who pulled the trigger bears the responsibility.

I don't think anyone is "justifying" it.

Even if it was illegal, and wrong, I do think there is still room to debate whether the suspect contributed to it, at least in a moral sense, by having defied lawful commands.

Again, that is not justifying it. It is, however, accounting for the realities of the entire situation, not just the last 2 seconds of it.
