The guy deserves to be punished for this. However it's funny that the raise baiters aren't up in arms about it. Is it because EVERYONE actually sees that the officer was at fault?

And, the easy solution to almost every cop-related issue is that we require cops to carry recording devices everywhere.
I think if we all push for that and get it, we'd have a lot less to argue about.

This cop is a piece of filth. Pull someone over, make up some bullshat excuse later, use their baby as a tool for blackmail, calls the passenger by a warranted criminal's name as some dumbass attempt at mind games, use a search dog as a threat (the tone in his voice suggested that the search dog was a punishment rather than a standard procedure). The passenger certainly didn't do himself any favors by yelling and not rolling his window down. But i certainly understand his conundrum and why he would be so defensive and aggravated. Get cops off traffic detail. This is asinine.
Georgia police raided a retired Atlanta man's garden last Wednesday after a helicopter crew with the Governor's Task Force for Drug Suppression spotted suspicious-looking plants on the man's property. A heavily-armed K9 unit arrived and discovered that the plants were, in fact, okra bushes.
Police Seems notorious for it. I read a follow up article and no drugs were found in the vehicle.
I've actually explained before why it isn't quite as widespread as you think. But continue thinking what you want to.
And link to the follow up story please.

lulz
Ill address this by saying that officers feel, rightfully or wrong, that there is an us against them situation. Ferguson and many more incidents feed this parnoia. The officer was indicted by a large portion of society before ANY of the facts were available.
Also, to whomever was asking for more training and screening Ill submit it would not make a difference. Bad people make their way into every job.
Also, to those wondering about his shot percentage. Thats just a silly argument
Shot placement is paramount and law enforcement officers on average strike an adversary with only 20 30 percent of the shots fired during a shooting incident.
LEOs miss between 70 80 percent of the shots fired during a shooting incident
Not sure you want to use the FBI as a standard for which to decide which weapon to carry. I know local LE does, but the average FBI agent averages about 1 arrest a year and typically rely on local LE to make arrests. The FBI is good for studies and statistics, I'll give them that, but real world stuff just isnt in their wheel house.FBI finally gets their head out of their ass and goes back to the 9mm.
