How so? Have you seen the video of Rice holding the gun towards people’s heads and it was two different witnesses saying he was doing that saying “I’m going to shoot you n-words”. The kid sealed his own fate by his actions. Race had nothing to do with it either as portrayedAs copfam, I have trouble believing it was at all justified. And legal doesn't mean right.

Race was mentioned as the reason they did this or have you been asleep for years?I didn't say anything about race. Hrm...
Really poor threat assessment on behalf of the officers. They are not judge, jury, and executioner and the mandate to protect and serve includes attempting to protect the antagonist as well.
Proper response would have been to broadcast a instructions over the vehicle speaker to put the weapon down and assume a neutral position.
I find it hard to understand how military have significantly tighter restrictions and better training with threat assessment and response, but flatfoots are authorized to kill the moment they get their willies bent.
And your “proper response” is from watching too many police shows on tv. You end a possible active threat immediately if possible
I just went back to look at the Tamir Rice video. These cops had no time to assess the real threat level. How so? Kudos to your family. I imagine sitting in a recliner passing judgment is not what they wish for when they’re thrust into situations that require swift actions. These things should and historically have been viewed theough the lens of the officer at the time of the incident. Im sure your family would agreeI am the grandson, son, nephew, and cousin of current and former officers. I'm the first male in three generations on my father's side to not be involved in law enforcement in some way.
And I don't watch TV, much less police procedurals.
Even Dispatch saying someone said it "might" be a fake gun doesn't make it soTamir was also 5’9 195 pounds with a hood pulled over his head. He then points a gun at police. Dispatch was the downfall. The original caller stated fake gun. They did not relay that to the police. Armed adult pointing a weapon at people in the park and threatening to shoot them is what they received. He then points what 100% appears to be a handgun at an officer in a public park. You just going to sit there and talk it out? No, you end the threat to yourself and the public. I don’t even see the argument.
I called him a unicorn, is that your definition of me bagging on him? I was commenting to the cops can do no wrong contingent on here, which you must be one of.Im sure you understand the difference between someone (you) bagging on a person for helping another human and someone (me) bagging on you for being a db
