To Protect and to Serve II

Intimidating is what the guys in the masks are attempting to do.

Someone please stop this dangerous man from his intimidation tactics!

That’s because the peaceful protesters don’t need masks.

And we’re back where we started

You can't even admit the obvious truth that some peaceful protesters need masks to protect their identities. You're back to where we started. As for myself and likely most others following the convo, we have progressed beyond that point.

Lol.
You’ve never asked for me to comment or admit to some peaceful protesters could benefit from or need masks.
I’d like to see some evidence that there has been retribution and therefore “need” masks. (Not saying it’s not out there just that I haven’t cared enough to check) as much press as there’s been if it was a real problem it would have been covered. On the other hand there’s been plenty of proof that masked protesters turn violent.

As for those reading along I’d say you’re in the minority as putting masks on the supposed peaceful puts them back on the klan. Nobody with half a brain wants those dipsticks back in masks.

It’s interesting that this hasn’t been an issue anywhere (at least it hasn’t been covered) where peaceful protests occur. The only place where the law has been enforced is where the protesters have proven to be violent.

Can you show me some evidence of this law taking down you teamster or Scientology protesters?

I don’t care enough to look it up but let’s assume that the only place this law has been applied is where there’s a history of violence. And if that’s the case then the almost 70 year history of this law would seem to indicate that’s likely to continue.
So at the end of the day this seems to be a bunch of fluff about nothing.

Even notice cop cars has no hubcaps... Interesting

I've seen cop cars that got tired of losing hubcaps and did what i have on my work van...tied them on with rebar wire. I dont lose hubcaps anymore, and on the rare occasion I have to change a tire, just snip off the wires and it takes a couple three minutes to put an back on. Highly recommend for a work truck.

There is no argument
The law has already been argued in front of the appellate court.
Your side lost. It doesn’t infringe on anyone’s rights.

And here again... there is a difference between what is legal and what is justice (or just).

If you can't make that distinction, you don't belong in the conversation.

That’s my point
Where’s the line. You think masks shouldn’t bother anyone. I think they do. You say privacy is more important than safety. I think safety (ability to identify your attacker) is more important that your right to misbehave in a mask. To me if it’s important enough to protest then it shouldn’t have to hide. I’d argue the mask degrades the point you’re trying to make. Some think nudity shouldn’t bother anyone I think it does. So who gets to decide?

Lawmakers. That’s why we elected them

No one is saying you are not entitled to your opinion. If you believe wearing a mask takes away from a protester's argument, you are free to think that.

Just don't make wearing a mask illegal.

I’d be ok with allowing mask with a 25yr addition to the sentence of anyone committing a crime while masked.

So if a white guy kills a white guy, regular sentence. But if a white guy kills a black guy, add on an additional 20 years?

Sounds like you love making sentences based on intent and not on the action.

Again, punish the misbehavior... not the wearing of a mask.

A suspected California serial killer who committed at least 12 homicides and 45 rapes throughout the state in the 1970s and '80s was identified Wednesday as a former police officer, an official said.

A law enforcement official identified Joseph James DeAngelo, 72, who was fired from the Auburn Police Department, as the Golden State Killer.

Former police officer named as serial killer - ABC News

He was caught due to a book that was written by comedian Patton Oswalt’s recently deceased wife. She put the pieces of the puzzle together.

He also left the police force after getting arrested for stealing a hammer and dog repellent. Someone should have investigated him when that occurred.
