To Protect and to Serve II

You don't have to justify legalization of MJ to me. I agree. It's no different than alcohol which is legal. All I ask is don't make me pay your welfare, unemployment, food stamps ect when you can't get a job because it affects your job performance. I realize that it affects people differently and sine function quite well using it but some can't and don't.

The Very same people we are complaining about that write these ridiculous laws are the very same ones you are complaining about that are handing out entitlements.

Let's flip this... what YOU done to change the laws you are complaining about? I bet $1 million you say vote... lol.

Lol. Send me your money. I've presented arguments in front of politicians, I've volunteered for campains of candidates that supported my ideals, I've made thousands of phone calls to other voters, I've donated money to campaigns that aligned with what I thought was best for my community. What have you done, other than sit and ***** about everything?

You'll never get the sheep to understand this simple fact.

The problem is as much as you'd like to believe otherwise, drug use affects others not just the one taking the drugs. It's a tremendous cost. If you put something in your body, it's your responsibility not to hit my wife with your car. If you take drugs and it causes you health problems, it's your responsibility to care for yourself, not mine. The reality is when you take drugs, especially things not labeled marijuana, you typically are not responsible for yourself.

I've seen polls regional polls showing that people are in favor of keeping pot illegal. It depends on the region. The last poll I saw in Tennessee was a couple of years ago and it was like 60-40 against legalization but don't hold me to that.

You want to legalize pot, get it on the ballot. Work toward it. Then let the populace decide.

What difference does the polling data or popular opinion make if the law is unConstitutional?

Lol, let's start with a military to defend our country. I guess we can depend on other countries not coming over?

Who was the last country to invade us?

If we had any common sense, we would use the two oceans as a natural defense. Bit instead, we globetrotting around and create enemies halfway around the world.

Does it not make just a tiny bit of sense to you that the reason we weren't invaded was because we had a military? Is that a hard concept?

Why wasn’t the Swiss invaded during ww2 with all the death and chaos that was going on all around them?

Here’s a hint, they have a very strong rifleman culture there, and the populace are armed.

You have armed citizens in this country. What country is going to be able to occupy us in this hemisphere? Forget about the oceans on both coasts....

That was part of it, but there was slightly more to it.

Yea, there doing well. Lol

We defeated ourselves in Viet nam. Linebacker1 and linebacker2 were very successful, high altitude carpet bombing from b52s that killed every living thing above ground. Worked great.

That's why there was never linebacker3.look it up...politicians didn't want to win the war. Never carpet bombed again. Instead sent poorly trained teenagers to wage war on foot against guerilla tactics and booby traps in jungles those people had lived in for hundreds of years with 1000s of miles of underground tunnels so we could never track their movements. Kids never stood a chance. The only US war that makes me hang my head, and the 2 men in my family closest to me each served 26 years.

That war was bullcrap from start to finish

You can't subjugate a well armed populace (that doesn't want to be).

They could wipe us out if they wanted, no doubt. But a dead citizen doesn't pay taxes.

Unfortunately, most in this country are actually proud of their subjugation. But if the people of this country just decided they didn't want to play the game any more (and were actually willing to fight for that belief), our government would be in big trouble.

I believe in the individual. If people want to form a government of some kind, and I can voluntarily opt out, without consequences, so be it.

The true measure of your freedom is the ability to opt out of something without consequence.

Ok, I generally stay out of this stuff, but this is literally the most asinine thing I've seen on here in quite some time. Literally everything you do has consequences. You want to do what you want, when you want without regard for others, then renounce your citizenship. Move to some deserted island in the Caribbean. Then you can be your own government or however the hell you phrase it. If you're going to live in society with others there are rules that are put in place to govern that society. Don't like them? Then elect someone who is more in tune with your like of thinking. Otherwise, do as I suggested and find you an island.

Let me ask you this. Is there an HOA where you live?
