The state pays their salary.... and here's the kicker Ras.... you loose cigarette lovin' man.... they are hired to uphold and enforce the law.... if the law is bad then it's up to the people to vote in legislators that agree the law is bad and have them change it. Cops aren't against the people bra....

Your comment says it all though. There are tons of pot smokers out there that will never have a brush with the law.....why? Because they're not stupid. They don't go out acting foolish and putting their dumbassery out on Front St.

You forget about the part where first and foremost, they take an oath to uphold the Constitution.

Why does that seem to always be ignored by you cop lovers?

Hey buddy... why don't these same cops that you love to defend so much over arresting people with a few grams of pot put people like Hillary in jail with the same level of zeal and enthusiasm?

These cops will come down hard on the Average Joe, but won't do diddly squat to arrest real criminals. People like you that defend this nonsense are part of the problem... not part of the solution. I would much rather Hillary go to jail and have 100,000 weed heads go free than the other way around.

All cops are bad cops. They are the State, and should be inherently despised by any Patriot. Their function is to restrict freedom, to control.

They can never be trusted. They are an arm of the State, and will gladly take every right you have.

When given a choice between your rights, or their pension, which do you think they will choose....

Cops are simply the spearhead of all political will in America.

Name any bad actor throughout history, Hitler, Stalin, whoever, they would’ve never achieved the level of murder and mayhem absent police and military.

Look through my post history and find a place where i love to defend the cops doing anytyhing at all, much less promote them busting people for smoking weed? I used to smoke all day every day before i got saved and started a family. I dont care if they legalize weed nationwide, and i knmow that at some point i have posted here that given a c hoice, i would rather my kids be smokers than drinkers...its far less dangerous. Fact is, most of the incidents posted here involve a cop who is waaaay out of line and should be fired or jailed. Thing is, i dont use that as an excuse to judge an entire group of t housands or.millions of people who share the same occupation. Why is it wrong to judge all black people or white people or women or men or vegans or carnivores etc etc based on the actions of a few of them (will get you labeled a racist, sexist, etc) but OK to judge every cop in the US based on the actions of a few idiots??? Much like my previous post, i am simply pointing out logical trainwrecks passed off as outrage or activism. How can one be a racist or sexist, but not a "copist"??? Doesnt make sense.

You're my guy Ras.....I see and understand both sides of the argument. I realize you are against the enforcement of petty acts. Believe it or not..... I am too in many cases. I'm also not what you guys refer to as a "cop lover".....but I know they deal with the under belly of our society and it places them in very tough positions. It's not just the rouge cops that are the problem.... ithe freaking number of idiots acting like fools must also be added to the equation.

I am. It’s the profession itself that is the problem.

Are some cops good people, yes, undoubtedly. However, make no mistake, there are no good cops. They all enforce laws that conflict with their own conscience and sense of morality. Just following orders...
