My cousin in law is a deputy and has never written a ticket.

He tells them to slow down. Stop at the stop sign. Don't text and drive. Etc...

Why was the cop even there in the first place?

Also, that dog owner is right, that cop did file a false report and he should be tried. But just like false rape accusers, this cop will not be prosecuted.

I do the same thing. Only time I write a citation is if I end up arresting that person (driving on revoked, drugs, outstanding warrants, etc.).

He has been forced to do that.

He had one flee. It was raining bad. All she did was not come to a complete stop at a stop sign

She ran. They found her later (they don't get in to a pursuit, they let you go)

She had crashed. Clean driving record. No drugs. Valid insurance. He asked her why she ran, and she didn't want a ticket.

Had she stopped, she would have gotten a warning and went on her way. Instead, felony fleeing, arrested and her car towed.
