To’o To’o, Crouch, Gray and Johnson enter the transfer portal

I am betting they won't. Other teams are not going to pick up players and allow them to play without getting clearance from the NCAA. Changing teams isn't going to make the problem go away. The NCAA will have this wrapped up before summer I bet.
You may be right but the portal will tell. If the players wind up getting picked up.......🤷‍♂️

Hence the rush to the portal. If another school picks them up in "good faith" before the NCAA findings are public, does the NCAA want to punish a school and player who acted in "good faith?"

Well, based on how I feel right now there are 2 explanations.
1. I’m emotionally numb and officially to the point where I feel nothing anymore due to the entirety of 2020 (in general)
OR
2. These are players that got us to a 3-7 (worst team in UT history.) So, losing even the best of them, makes me just shrug my shoulders.

I have a hard time understanding how some of the same players who took money and left the program in shambles are just gonna dip out and let us burn...

The Tennessee fan based did this to itself.

We could of had a coach who had
  • previous successful Head Coach experience
  • had built a winning program from the ground up, not just inherited one
  • had been at an elite program(s) and worked for championship-winning coaches as a DC
  • earned respect among his peers for X's and O'x knowledge of the game
  • regularly beaten more talented teams
  • been named a recruiter of the year
  • had a history of maximizing talent and getting kids to the next level
  • NFL experience as an Asst and Head Coach

But our idiot fan base instead went with a guy who had
  • no head coaching experience at any level
  • inherited a loaded squad at every stop
  • never coached w/a talent deficit
  • only 5 years experience as a college DC
  • had been a high school assistant coach just 12 years earlier
  • didn't know what asparagus was
Schiano has a career record of 71-73. He was not going to be our savior. He was better than Pruitt but not by much. So spare me this Monday morning quarterback moaning.

They shouldn't. They are held to a standard and signed off on it through the clearinghouse. THEY broke the rules. They may ALL end up ineligible. Im good with that! I dont feel sorry for a damn ONE of em that took that cash!! They KNEW better. I hope they never play another down of D1 football again! They have to pay the price of breaking the rules too! They can all KMA!!

Holy crap Shallow Waters. Are you really advocating for Schiano there? 😂😂😂😂😂 I was assuming you liked .500 coaches but this post confirms it. You really do like .500 coaches. 😂😂😂😂😂

Ouch. But if these players don’t want to be here bring us ones that do. The low to no star players at Coastal Carolina played harder than our team this year
You are correct. The most important thing moving forward is the right AD and Head Coach. This program finally had to hit rock bottom before it can be rebuilt again. I know people will say we were already there no we weren't but now we are. We have i believe the correct people in leadership and with a AD and Coach whom are pulling in same direction the University Of Tennessee Football Program will move back to one of the best in the league. In CHRIST Alone

Man I loved To'o To'o as a player. Pains me to say it. But he deserves better. I hope he goes somewhere and balls out. Wins a bunch of games.

Well, maybe if they would have stepped up and led like they needed to, Tennessee might have been closer to a "Natty." Those guys were the most talented, and needed to step up, and yet, no unit seemed to have a leader. Trey was the closest thing I saw to a leader.
This is where the administration blew it IMO. You can’t leave the program twisting in the wind and expect anyone to stay. We needed swift action, and we got the opposite.
Pruitt should have been fired for his performance after KY beat us, like we were a high school team.(He would have been almost anywhere but here). We always keep coaches longer than we should, ALWAYS, and it ALWAYS comes back to bite us, sitting us back at least another year if not more. The people in charge just never learn. UNBELIEVABLE

Make no mistake, we’ve suffered through one inept coach after another, but Jeremy Pruitt will prove to be the biggest disaster by far. If we thought the rebuild was tough after the previous dunces, we haven’t seen anything yet. Pruitt has all but buried this program.
It appears that the death penalty will not be necessary.

56-33 in his last 7 seasons. 5-1 in Bowl Games w/a squad ranked 16th in the final AP & BCS polls. At Rutgers w/less talent, fewer dollars, and worse facilities.

So can anyone explain how this works when players transfer out?

Can we take the same amount of transfers in?

Take more commits?

If so, not too worried once we get a coach/NCAA resolution.

That said, these are some strong players off a team with not that many.
