'19 TN /WR Lance Wilhoite

I think this guy has a chance to be special. Pair him with Keyton and I almost don’t even care who the third receiver this class is.

My #1 in state “want” for this class.

Pruitt: “Did you crush your enemies, see them driven before you and hear the lamentation of their women?”

Wilhoitte: “Ummm... coach it was jus...”

Pruitt: “maybe work on that a lil”

Pruitt:"don't forget to drink their blood from their skills... Good protein shake"

In His Words: "I want to commit by the end of the summer so these visits will be big for me. These are the schools I'm planning on focusing on going forward."

"I feel like I’m going to go up there for a visit. I might camp I might not. I haven't decided yet. But they've been recruiting me super hard. They’ve been talking about me staying in state and stuff like that. Terry Fair is my main recruiter and he just wants me to keep coming to campus so I can feel like I'm part of the family. He told me how they feel about me and how they think I can excel in their new offense."

On the new offense: "Coach Pruitt already told me that they will be running a pro-style offense and they will run to set up the pass and he said they need their best athletes on the field at all times so when our chance comes to make plays they will be big ones and we will be a big part of what they're going to be doing."

On the in-state pull: "It does mean a lot because when I get up there if they change it around the whole state is going to be with the team and following the success and that would mean a lot for me, especially considering that I'm from here. It would also be great to be close to home because my mom and my family could come watch me because it’s not far away. That’s a big thing. Most of my friends will still be here in the state, too, so that's something to think about."

this kid just looks elite to me

looks. I've said it before on this thread...I saw him live twice last year and he wasn't very impressive. His qb was good enough to get a scholarship to play in college, so he didn't have a chump throwing bricks his way. I hope I'm wrong. Maybe he just plays to the level of competition.

I mean I didn’t see him live, but over a 1,000 yards and 13 TDs in High School is pretty good.

From what I've heard, Vols aren't super high on him. He'd be a take if they have room and don't get some of the other WRs they want, but I don't think they necessarily are enamored with him.

Others set to camp with UT’s staff at the end of the month are several in-state prospects. Lance Wilhoite, Adonis Oteyand Woodi Washington are all at Ohio State this weekend. Washington is still noncommittal on whether he will camp for Pruitt later this month. He goes back and forth but has indicated to some this past week that he will indeed come up. Trey Knox, Zion Logue, who picked up a UGA offer at camp this week, and Gyasi Mattison all plan to camp later this month. Mattison continues to see his name gain more traction with a very solid spring.
