yeah, i think the three definite takes would be wilhoite, Patterson and washington. and of course Norton if they can flip him.

past that, i wouldn't make any predictions on the rest of the in state class for this cycle.

I believe there are 5 instate kids the staff would take right now. Norton, Hampton, Wilhoite, Mitchell, and Washington. Patterson is the only other one the staff might consider. Knox is gonna have to show out this summer and fall as well as Otey to be takes. Jashon Watkins is the other one that I think the staff will keep watching.

Yep. His composite went up a few days ago. It's since dropped to a .9455 after he dropped in 247's own rankings. Looks like he's still #1 in the composite but down to #14 in the state in 247's rankings.

It's weird cause rivals and espn both have him as a 4 star but neither have him number 1 in the state. I know when I tried to visit 247 just now, the site kept bombing out so maybe they're running updates and something got screwed up.

Yeah their site has been a mess today. It keeps timing out for me. I think he may have made a big jump on ESPN which caused his composite to jump earlier this week.

Rivals is so hard to follow because they hardly ever update their rankings. They have a ton of guys right now rated high who are surely going to take huge nose dives when they eventually update their rankings and then guys like Lowe and Cox who they've basically said will be 4-stars in their next update.

AP said today all three (Knox, Wilhoite and Washington) like Arkansas. There is all kinds of speculation we could make of that comment.

Pruitt wants these guys to camp. At the very least it's an exercise in mental toughness. We'll see who wants to be a Vol bad enough to camp and who will just settle for Arkansas with some of these instate kids.

Exactly. I like that mindset. Better than going begging like Butch did. It should be an honor for in-state kids to try and earn an offer.

I like it too. All about mindset. Pruitt is building a program built on toughness and a strong mindset. And as he pointed out not only do the players need to understand that but so do some of our fans. And he's finding out how tough some of these instate kids are by asking them to camp to earn a spot in the '19 class. I think it's fantastic.
