TN VS FLORIDA Rivalry 2019

Perhaps that’s because it’s entirely possible to be irrational in your hatred of a rival, and get irrationally upset when losing to that rival, yet be rational and reasonable when having a conversation or discussion with fans of said rival...especially if that rival fan is also rational and reasonable.
Most UF fans I've met and I mean this in the nicest way are complete ***holes. They don't know anything about there team or there history and usually are the most arrogant obnoxious fans you will meet. I know there are some good ones out there but I'd rather get lost in Tuscaloosa then spend a game down in Gainesville

You are right on the money. Hate that place. The hell of it is...they are even more obnoxious after they win.

Your opinion is noted.

That's the thing, most of the gator fans I know and come into contact with aren't really gator fans. They're fans of talking chit. Most of them couldn't tell you who the QB is this year. Ask them how they think Franks will do this year and they'll say "he ain't no Spurrier, but he's better than your coach, hahahaha y'all suck chomp chomp ". The only good thing about them is when they're not doing good, they disappear. Doesn't matter if they beat Tennessee or not, just lose a few games and "poof" they gone.

These guys here are nothing like the majority I know and the ones that live here in Florida know what I'm talking about.

Still, nothing worse than the Volgators we have here.

It all started with the run we had against Bama. I remember the excitement of the '95 win against them and how we rattled off 10 straight wins. The Florida thing began with alignment and Spurreir needling Vol fans. He could do that because Fulmer just could not compete with him; even when we had comparable or better teams. Their run from '93 to '98 and again the next two years and, add in the rain fiasco in '02 is what propelled our rivalry feelings towards them. All the while, sanctions hammered Bama somewhat till Saban got there.

As a vol fan, it is extremely difficult to be this downtrodden and far back in the SEC!

It's probably different depending on where you are.

I dont know many UF fans personally in middle TN.
Half of the ones I do know switched over to Crimson a few years back.

Younger fans tend to be that way, but honestly in my experience that is true of any college football fan base. The older the fan, the more experience they have with the highs and the lows and so the more humble they are and the more they focus on the analytical side of things. Younger fans are just excited for the party.

Obviously we've had different experiences.

This has been my experience also.

Well of course. Lol.

I'm an old Focker and been in the bar/restaurant business over 30 years, 21 here in Ft. Myers. I've been around all types of people, employees and guests and I'm telling you I've never been around any one group of less knowledgable, obnoxious asswipes as the group that says they are Gator fans. Lawgator made my point, "young just looking for a party and never been humbled. They've never been humbled because they don't give a chit about anything but running their pole smokers. Then when you guys lose a few, they don't say chit.

I know several like you guys, and consider one a really good friend, took me to a game in the swamp in 2003. But I wouldn't give you a bag of dog crap for the rest.

Young and stupid, but I've never been around any like the one charger just posted a tweet from.

Vanderbilt doesn't even consider it a rivalry at this point.

No point even discussing FL.
Good for them. Gonna suck even more for them when we turn it around. They'll find out just like the rest of the weak, they were wrong.

They probably didnt pre Neyland when they won 19 of the first 24 games.

They ve won 14 of the last 90 meetings. When they beat UT it's a big deal. That wont change if they win the next 20.
