Maybe. I guess he plays SDE also. But would be undersized either way. Maybe Michigan has an actual H-back as a position in their offense, where we really would not.

In his highlights, he is very versatile and a good blocker. Reminds me of Princeton Fant. Would be valuable as a blocker and receiver.

I doubt it, Fant was doing good to clear 6’2 and this kid is still a junior in hs so he could still grow some

They’ve made it a focus under this staff to get in with NPA and now that NPA partnered up with Detroit based SMSB there’s some natural connections there now too. Plus the dude they hired from Kentucky recruited NPA well for the Wildcats too

I can see this kid in an H-back role there. I haven't seen our coaches heavily pursue TEs under 6'4" and this kid is 6'1".

I don't think either Maryville or Alcoa has produced very many SEC caliber prospects over the last 30 years, but when they do ... they never go to Tennessee. Unless it's like Aaron Douglas, or Tee Hodge ... who didn't stay very long.
