'26 TN TE Carson Sneed (Tennessee commit)

Would rather him go to UNC than Florida if he does flip.

I’d still love him in this class but we have two really good young TE’s in Brame and Van Dorselaar so it’s not something I’d lose sleep over.

I don’t think he can beat out Jack or Brame in the foreseeable future, so anyway, just sign two more studs in ‘27.

This one should be done early in August, based on what I am hearing. Florida pushed hard, and probably recruited him the hardest over the summer, I am told, but Sneed really likes UNC, the staff and the fact that his brother is there does not hurt.

I think we’re trying to put too much thought into what seems to be a pretty simple situation. Between him committing and then immediately looking around and his brothers bizarre comments about the baseball team….they just suck. It’s nothing exotic or complicated. I absolutely would not go fishing with these people.

The gist was that he was glad he was at UNC now because UTs baseball team was “trash”. It was back in the spring when the boys were struggling a little bit.

then why did he commit to us so long ago, and why has he stayed committed?

this isn't one of those kids who just refuses to give us the time of day. Amari was one of those, seems like there is always 1 or 2 a year that just don't answer the phone when we call. the DB that was committed to Vandy and now to Georgia was this years. never got any traction.

we obviously have some traction with Sneed. he just hasn't shut it down.

His brother was a nice walk-on that might have gotten some run this season because of the pure lack of numbers at WR.

Whatever on this one. The big win to me is whatever Tennessee was selling him kept him from going to Florida. Maybe Bellichick sweetened the deal by having his girlfriend give him a lap dance

I have felt like the time to flip for him had come and gone. If he flips, he flips. Good player but not one I’d be worried about. Tennessee has found good production at TE from portal and recruited two nice ones last cycle. Keys and Hiter dictate this class.
