'26 TN TE Carson Sneed (Tennessee commit)

The posters that still get torn up over the shattering of their belief in the definition of 'commitment' kinda crack me up. Lots of words in the English language have multiple meanings in different context. That's the simple reality of athletic recruiting context using the term 'commitment' and it's fine. The word is not used in the same context as your commitment to your wife. It's a recruiting term. Nothing more, nothing less.

To have a successful program you need players committed to putting in the work to help your team be successful. How about using committed in that context. If a person is so unserious that they would rather get some lil attention than begin working towards their teams success then how do you think they would work once inside the program? How long does it take to make a decision? He’s not even that good anyway. That’s what cracks me up. These fanboy posters that get a thrill out of an irrelevant romance with an irrelevant teenage boy. He’s just a big body for practice purposes. That’s why he has the offers.

Reminds me of Cade Mays .. remember the song??? Florida gloves are just as bad imo.. If you're committed to Tennessee wear Tennessee gear... Just my opinion, but Cade ended up here eventually
Agree. I mean the guy is taking visits and saying how great a time he is having. I don’t like it. And some of our fans are saying oh well should this team or that team drop their committed guy because he takes visits? I don’t care what other teams do. I only care what happens at TN. And like you, if you are truly committed then start acting like it.

What shocks me is your definition of torn up. Who in here is getting torn up? Some of us just think Snead either needs to act like a true commit or leave. Stop with the diva crap. That’s not torn up. Well maybe it is in your world. Plenty of our commits are not doing what Snead is.

Personally, I don't even care what Carson Sneed does anymore at this point. I'm happy to have him if he sticks but won't lose any sleep if he flips. Is it a sign of immaturity on his part the way he is handling his recruitment? Absolutely. Kids that age are mostly immature, though. I will say the message to him, in my opinion, should be "As long as you're still looking at other schools, we are looking at other Tight Ends. Don't wait too long to decide."

It's a shame Jalin Hyatt wasn't committed to putting in the work since he flipped

We have a bigger Sneed elsewhere.
I agree. I just wish he would tell the staff he is either in or out. If he is in fine. If he wants out leave so the staff can recruit his replacement. I just don’t want him to keep playing this game and then screw Heupel by recommitting really close to signing day or something.

This is why I think we should be recruiting the position as if he isn't committed. If we find someone we like that is ready to jump on board, give him Sneed's spot. If Sneed decides prior to that point that he wants to sign with us and shuts down his recruitment, we stop recruiting the position.

What makes you think he's not working towards that? What should he be doing that you know he is not doing?

I have no issue with that. Keep recruiting TEs.

If he’s in North Carolina he’s contributing nithung to the team here. If he were at least back at DCA in that playground of a gym he could be training to improve himself as a player.

If you take a vacation when you should be at work you are not producing. And that’s ok. If you’re serious and committed to your job you’d not be sightseeing. There’s a job to do.

That’s all fine tho. He’s free to spend his time however he wants. He can even give gift his time to benefit another school. But to me that clearly says he’s not serious about football and never will be. Get in the game and take off and do something to better yourself instead of wandering the sidelines looking at the cheerleaders.

I am going to move forward assuming you are being facetious. It has to be because otherwise.....whew!
