They just extended DeBoer's contract by 2 years. They're stuck with him for a while now.DeBoer is going to be on the hot seat every year he doesn't get a buy in the playoffs. Sign me up for that... Not playing for Heupel over DeBoer doesn't make sense. Georgia and Ohio St make sense as far as DB development. Bama doesn't make sense. It isn't Saban down there anymore.
Just came to mind as an in-state player that left and came back and did all right. Not all the prospects that left the state and came back totally flopped.Bad example when his brother is by far more beloved at Tennessee and was all Vol. Cade wasn’t all that great here tbh. Maybe that was on Beldar playing him out of position, idk, just don’t think that’s a good example
Everybody still recruits high school hard, you’re foolish if you don’t. Sure some leave but not all do, the new of chasing different schools will die down in time. Transferring multiple times without sitting out isn’t going to be around forever. The money wars at some point level out. The system as it won’t stay around forever. And still even today to not try to recruit top players out of high school would be stupid. You don’t see any top teams doing that. Folks behind the keyboard magnifying everything to the point of absurdity. GBOI know most won’t see it this way, but I think our staff does. Not aimed at you and speaking in general, but Who gives a rip about high school recruiting (other than QB)? Half the class will end up transferred in two years and it’s a waste of time and $. It’s really ALL about the portal with the exceptions of the super elite talents, and even then, half of those are entitled and not worth it.
I want Kevin Simon’s son in orange, but there’s still a solid chance he will end up in Orange anyways.
It is actually hurting high schoolers a lot, but no one cares if you’re not elite other than the mid majors. It is really not worth it to recruit high school anymore.
