I know. But on the Sat pregame show, he has been very blunt which I appreciated about the bizarre Tampa 2 off ball scheme in the red zone, the lack of fundamentals in the secondary overall and the awful safety play. Made it hard for me to see his son choosing Banks. So I’d say moving on is a big boost.
Issue resolved.

Kennan Simon has a lot of potential but is he an inside or outside guy?

Can he stuff the booth?

I’ve heard him criticize all of the defensive staff with exception to RG also. Kevin would make a good coach he knows X’s and O’s and fundamentals.

I feel like the change from Banks to Knowles may get us home here. His father sounds pretty impressed with Knowles after they spent this weekend meeting with him.

Couple of interesting comments about Banks as well that may explain some of what we saw on defense during his time here. Basically said he didn't have a tough, gritty personality and wasn't able to demand the most of his players. Pretty damning coming from a former VFL.

The staff made a point to let Kevin and Kenny know that dad is a beloved VFL and always welcome around the program, and son is a coveted part of the future plans for the Vol defense. Any ill will it seems has been squashed.

It’s a matter of weeks, maybe days before Kenny is committed, imo.

That would be awesome. I really want to see the '27 class built around the in-state kids.

There is a ton of top end talent and I think having home grown kids is as important as ever in the NIL era.

Simon is worth a listen. The other three - not sure they could collaborate to change a light bulb.

I don't disagree. I do like the Sports Source due to the fact that they incorporate a lot of former players into the show (Kevin Simon, Marlon Walls, Ollie Lane, etc.).

I watch/listen to a multitude of different UT shows and personalities to try to get as much info as possible. Anything with VFL's always intrigues me more than media guys who have never played a snap of football in their lives.
