'27 TN RB David Georges

If he‘s half the player Chuck Webb was then TN needs to do everything possible to land him.

Webb had it all—speed, power, amazing moves and incredible vision. One of the three best RBs in SEC History IMO. Knee injury was so unfortunate.
I was at the game and thought he had turned an ankle. Little did I know that would be career ending for him. Makes me sad of what he could have done

😂 Football forums are nothing if not speculative.
Yes but speculation does not fix anything, however it does bring on chaos, confusion and
ups-the-ante.

Football forums also brings in back stories, rumors, truths, and fibs, by people claiming to be in the know. All of which cannot be verified. The comment I referenced was not speculative it was stated as a fact, third or second hand. I guess you can fairly state I speculated on a stated fact.

TIFWIW, right now, not much regarding school choice.

Webb walking off under his own power (albeit with a slight limp) made the news of the eventual diagnosis even worse.

Damn, what a player he was. Such a shame he couldn’t prove it more with an extended career.

He was the best RB in Tennessee history. Those who saw him know.

IIRC

In chronological order it was

Cobb
Webb
Garner

That was a heck of a stretch for RBs. Chuck Webb was the best I've ever seen play for UT too but they were all fantastic

add Lewis and Henry to that list and that's the top 5 RBs I've seen play at UT in my lifetime. A couple of them were for just a single season but all 5 were unforgettable

They were all good but one of those was more productive than the others. Travis Henry really knew how to score. 🤣

Please spare us the speculation, he could commit anywhere but we are 9 months out from signing.
"Heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend that you been messing around" It is like this on every recruit that is a "5 star" star.

A year out and basically he has 8 teams he is looking at for a career. He has a lot of options and it does not hurt that he is going to Baylor HS. Influence and some will be in his ear talking more Tennessee than the 7 other schools. Then, as usual $$$$$$ comes into play.

Too early to state where he ends up. Still a kid and we learned this year they can change their mind on short notice (Bey).

At this point, it is a crapshoot.
Nothing you said is incorrect. My inside (son has a class with DGG) info is that he really likes UT. His first choice was tOSU but that changed due to having teammates going to UT (teammates and fellow French Canadians as well). The truth is he has no regional dedication to any team as he is from Canada but it appears he likes the UT staff as well. Money may well be the deciding factor (who can blame anyone for that ) but from what I hear his family is very level headed and insist that he be as well.

He developed Wright into a top 10 pick. He turned Lance Herd around and got him paid. Our running game was 1st in ypc prior to contact and rbs almost dead last in ypc after contact. The ol coach has done a great job since hes been here and is vital to the run game.

I was surprised to learn that he is the running game coordinator. CJH let's him handle it. Led the SEC in rushing in 23 and 24 when we did NOT have really good QB and everyone knew we were gonna run the ball 40+ times per game. Not saying we have the best Oline coach in the SEC but he isn't nearly as bad as some here think he is either.

I’d go:
1) Webb
2) Lewis
3) Garner
4) Cobb

After that, Stewart, Foster, Henry, Stephens could be put in any order.

We have had so many good RBs its crazy. Can make arguments to switch all of them around except the top slot at #1...anybody that is old enough to have seen Chuck Webb play knows he is the best we ever had.

You really need an explanation, no one does it on their own but watch the Indiana game, watch games where RB football is complimentary. A good dependable RB opens up a ton of options if he greats sizable yards on first or second down. Can Open up the playbook.
Not to mention, when you have a back who can keep moving the chains chewing clock and keep the opponents offense off the field
