Which of those were all Americans? You’d expect a 5 star QB to be right? If you want to compare big time recruits and good college players…. Jacoby Steven’s was much higher recruited than any of those. And just looking at this years draft alone Jordan James went higher than any of those guys ever did. I’m not going to debate one school against a multi county private school alliance. It’s just my contention that Nashville private school football talent sucks. Brentwood Academy used to be quality 30 years ago. One of my best friends kids starred at Ensworth before going to Miami. I’ve seen the talent they have had firsthand. They still suck compared to their “ratings”. It’s my belief Curtis is just another one of those duds. Dude even just looks like a D2 QB. Jared Curtis is a Hiwassee players name come on man.

Note - I really wish we played CPA again this weekend. Even their head coach is a 5 star Nashville privy school flop. Now that’s both silly and serious.

Have you actually seen Curtis Play? He is every bit of 6’3 225 with a huge arm and a deceptively shifty runner.

I’ll add: Orleans Darkwa and Kevin McDermott…two NFL players from Ensworth. Tiny Richardson would’ve joined that list if his knees hadn’t failed him.

Dawson Knox is a pretty good NFL TE for the Bills. Went to Brentwood Academy. King Dunlap was another NFL player from BA. And of course, George MacIntyre. And Kesean Bowman. BA has produced more NFL players than any high school in Tennessee besides Memphis Melrose.

Daniel Bituli out of NCS was a fantastic LB at Tennessee. And the two Lipscomb kids on the roster now look to have bright futures…Spillman and Beasley.

Omari Sanders might end up a 5* out of FRA in the 2027 class. And BGA has some elite prospects in the 28 and 29 classes. Also gave us Troy Fleming and Ryan Karl.

Goodpasture turned out Patrick Turner and that Navy QB who was a Heisman candidate a few years ago.

Much better list but overall still weak. I won’t deny BA was good 30 years ago and that’s what these guys are. And no I haven’t really watched him play. That’s exactly what I from the very start. I may be looking.at it irrationally based on the historical overrating of mid state private school players. Maybe so. Maybe he’s that one guy that proves me all wrong and breaks that trend. Maybe a Nashville private school finally produces an All-American. I’m doubting if. He’s more likely to be coaching Ezell Harding in 10 years than playing in the NFL.

Who the hell else should they have at QB
There’s only 32 starters in the NFL and out of that he’s probably 7/8-12 best in league and honestly after the top 6 he really could be put in at 7th best in league when healthy but a bunch of QBs are beat up or aged out but can’t be replaced bc nobody can beat them out
I’m over dak myself but there was a time after TA that the QBs we went through made the Tennessee coaching searches and hires look good……

He’s not a top 2-3 QB is the problem when Jerry the moron is paying him like that! So it’s simple, you draft a QB and develop them that costs you 50 times less and you fill in around that QB position with the best money can buy. Do you really think Brock P is a top 5 QB in the NFL or really even top 10? No he’s not but he still almost led his team to a Super Bowl because they were stacked around him. Heck, Hurts isn’t a top 2-3 QB in the NFL if he wasn’t surrounded by absolute elite talent. Many QB’s have won super bowls that aren’t even close to mid tier, they just had the team surrounding them built with studs throughout but yet Dallas cannot do the same because they paid Dak like a top 2 QB. Is he top 10, maybe, but that’s not how he’s paid and that’s the issue!

That could be said of every high school player. He is a special talent, the next level is about drive and work ethic. That is hard to identify.
