I’m old enough to remember when people said Kirby couldn’t win the big one. Always chokes. Lol.

They said the same about Harbaugh. And Ryan Day. And they’re prob saying the same about the next NC HC (besides Dan Lanning and DeBoer bc I think most believe both will eventually win one).

So when posters here are like “Heup will just never get it done blah blah blah, can’t compete with the truly elite blah” I am certain they are idiots.

I’m not the biggest NFL guy but in ‘23 Dak was 3rd in yards and led the league in passing TDs.

In ‘21 he was 7th in yards and 4th in TDs.

In ‘19, 2nd in yards and 4th in TDs.

Those are the most recent seasons where he’s played 16+ games.

Stats at least seem to indicate he’s well above average.

They signed Dak to that ridiculous extension when they should have traded him away and drafted a new QB capable of winning gsmes against teams with a pulse.

How many interceptions were thrown there? You can throw for 10k in a season but if you turn it over on fumbles or INT’s during critical plays in a season you really don’t matter. Hes the reason they haven’t won in the playoffs he’s absolutely terrible with the game on the line he’s a regular old choker!

‘23: 36 TD / 9 INT
‘21: 37 TD / 10 INT
‘19: 30 TD / 11 INT

Really? Any coach can win? Richt was good and he didn’t win anything. This is just as ridiculous as the oh anyone can win with Bama talent. Sorry but Jo they can’t. It’s baffling why some on VN cannot give credit to our rivals coaches.

Every college coach has made bad decisions. Nobody is perfect. If you don’t think Kirby Smart is a top 3 coach in all of college football then you need help. Equal talent and it will be different? So which team was more talented last year us or Arkansas?

I don’t disagree with your points until the last part bc Kirby doesn’t win every game he has the most talent either, which is basically every game. They were more talented than Ole Miss and ND last year and lost.

I agree Kirby is one of the best HC in cfb.

This is how I feel. This whole recruitment has Ingle Martin vibes. I just refuses to respect Nashville private school football players. Maybe it’s cause I’m an Oakland guy, I dunno. It just seems like whatever the sport the Nashville private schools are a joke.
