'26 TN QB Jared Curtis (Georgia commit)

Damn I didn’t even realize he didn’t throw an incompletion last night lol

They also have a kid at WR and returner. #7, think he’s a sophomore?? Not entirely sure. He seems like he’s solid. Maybe more lower level FBS but has potential
Any idea how #21 has looked for them?

I saw him vs BGA. …..not “loaded” with5* talent, but 5-10 solid 3* or 4* players down the road…..and he really impressed me with his arm and athleticism.

A blithering idiot, like me, could look and say, “Oh. He’s really good.” He definitely stands out.
BGA is going to be really nice soon. I mean they already are but they’re all young outside of two other D1 DBs who are older plus QB.

Did we even recruit this kid? Would have thought we would have being he is a home state kid.

Faizon Brandon is a combination of Joe Milton and Hendon Hooker- and has a spiral like Chris Leak.

6’4” 220 4.5 speed and can make any throw and sees the field well.

Once Heupel gets his guy that’s it. For every class it’s been that way.

Curtis is a damn good QB, but Heupel only takes one guy each class. Georgia got a good one. So did we.

Committed in under two minutes wearing what looked to be a pair of gym shorts and a T shirt. I won’t say he’s completely drama free because he was previously committed to UGA, but the kid looks like he stands on business.

Agreed. I like Faizon a little better personally (overall physically more gifted and a little more potential) but both are very good. If they were in two different classes, Heupel likely goes all in on Curtis.

Kind of like the staff liked the projectability of Nico better than Arch? Hopefully, the staff is right this time.
what does this even mean? I am not saying you are wrong, I just don't remember that word ever being used.

I thought it was more a system fit thing.

They almost were. He came very close to reclassifying. And boy would that have been interesting.

That's the word the guy I was responding to used. I assumed what he meant was that the staff envisioned (projected) that Faizon would develop into a better player than Curtis and responded on that basis.

And I do remember people saying the staff thought Nico was better than Arch, which is always the case (and not just with our fanbase), somebody will always say that in such a situation, whether it's true or not.

Respectfully no one outside of Texas truly knows how good Arch is. He hasn't run the offense in meaningful games yet for Texas.

I think there is also the signability thing.
Arch was never coming here, Heupel or not.
Not without being recruited for sure.
But you have 0 idea what he might of done had Huepel gave him the same pitch and offer he gave Nico!!

He’s still better than Arch.

I know Tennessee fans are mad at the kid, but what has Arch done to prove he’s better?

Nico led Tennessee to the CFP.
Arch did not “lead” Texas to the CFP, the other QB did.

Faizon plays much harder competition as well.
Makes quick reads and literally can toss the ball anywhere you need it on the field.

Someone is paying this kid NIL money in high school. It's out of control.
