'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

I am not going to say anything mean, but this was a deliberate slap in UT's face by the Mays. Come'on Butch was having issues for 2 years, and to not commit to the home state.......shame on him. Not wishing any ill-will, but I won't be cheering for his success.

Go Vols! Stay Orange!

No hoping bodily harm is not the purpose of this message board.

Agreed! There are better ways of voicing one’s displeasure.

If you are mad that an 18 year didnt pick the college you wanted him to, you need to reconsider what is important to you.

And now you’ve just lost your Vol card, again. Seriously, have you considered that this might not be the type of forum for you to be moderating if you are judging people mad at Cade picking UGA?

It’s patently unsurprising to me that you’d conflate (you may need to look that word up given your tenuous [this word, too; for someone so enveloped in nerd culture, you aren’t very savvy nor seasoned with these things] grasp of the English language) ecoterrorism with throwaway comments on a message board. Maybe yoh should try heeding your own advice!

Take my own advice to not have a complete meltdown over the college decision of a local kid? Ok. I will. In fact, I think I have been this whole time.

I don't wish injury on him. He's insignificant to me. He thought he was better than this program. A program that his dad shed blood and sweat for. I look at him like any other GA player. He's the enemy and he doesn't deserve any blessings of good luck.

Nah; more along the lines or don’t make mountains out of molehills but, by all means, keep deflecting (in sure the sarcasm has served you well in life).

You apparently don’t know what deflecting is, either. I answered your post directly. You said to take my own advice. I agreed to do so.

Being a resident of Georgia since 1993, the Dawgs have kinda grown on me. I don't buy the "You can't be a fan of UT and UGA" garbage; that only applies to UF, Bama, and Vandy in my book. To each their own. So I'm a UGA fan 364 days of the year. When it's UT -vs- UGA, me and my UGA fan wife sit on opposite sides of the living room for the game. We draw a lot of looks when we manage to get to the game, regardless of where its' played.

That being said...I won't lose a wink of sleep over Cade not going to UT, nor am I turning backflips that he picked UGA. Whatever. He made his choice, and I wish him luck.

Well, except when he's lined up against UT, in which case I hope he draws half a dozen false start penalties, and gets beat for at least 3 sacks.

Nothing personal, but at the end of the day I am "Vols First".

Go Vols.

Garbage? Thats not garbage. Thats facts my dude. Might want to rethink what being a fan means. Just saying.

In my mind that kid's been gone since Butch was pushed out. I'm good with it. CJP's D-linemen may well negate anything Mays will bring at 'em. UT has put out THE BEST DEs in the nation, year-after-year, so good luck, Cade. You'll be needing it in Knoxville next year.

TrumpedUpVol managed to align Ron with the mods and draw out Modbock. Well Dunn, TrumpedUpVol. Well Dunn indeed.

I think you mean:

His dad played at my old high school in Kingston, TN. He has his number and name hanging at the football field. I would have loved to see him play for the Vols. I hope he does well but can never cheer for him or GA. I think he may regret this decision in a year or so.

Best way to make a statement is for some to stop acting like children and get behind our own program. Support the Vols not cry about who doesn't want to be here. Regardless if the Vols dont win a NC next year make the atmosphere electric every game. That alone will attract the right players to get us back on track,

Sorry, don't think you can just revoke a dad's VFL card for his son going to a different university.

Yea you can.. Otherwise he would've steered him toward home or Clemson. Not an interdivisonal rival. I would also imagine Kieth would pull for his son, and therefore Georgia. Do VFL's support bulldogs? I didn't think they did.

I do hope the best for Cade as he goes to Georgia but the one I feel bad for is Trey Smith ....who basically Cade talked into coming to Tennessee.... but I truly believe that Trey is a much better lineman than Cade will be. Still wish we had him I know his dad and his uncle wanted him to be at UT at the end of the day but aren’t we glad Archie didn’t make Peyton go to Ole Miss?

Maybe you should put down the thesaurus and talk like a normal ****ing human.
