"I've talked with some people who think there's a real chance Tennessee could still get Cade Mays."

Per Austin Price

former Georgia and Auburn DL coach Tracy Rocker and Florida DL coach Chris Rumph are both in Knoxville and appear set to be a part of Pruitt’s staff.

Additionally I’m told that Will Friend and Tyson Helton are going to see Cade Mays today. Which will allow Jeremy Pruitt and then home visit with the Mays family likely next week.

i think that if Cade was really down to his "final 3" and absolutely was not going to entertain the thought of a UT career at this point, he wouldn't even take the meeting.

i don't think it necessarily means he will ultimately come here, all of the people he had relationships with are gone, save Gillespie.

but, there's no doubt the kid grew up wanting this, and if they can give him any reason to get back on board.......well, like i said, he took the meeting. maybe he's hoping they give him reason to get back on board.

it's guys like him that will translate to c'ships here. he can go to plug and play, ready made programs like Clemson, OSU or GA. but the thing i hope he understands, is it's that it takes players like him to get programs in situations like ours to that point.

you wanna just go and plug and play? or do you wanna help be the catalyst of getting us there?

we'll see, but i'm glad he took the meeting.

Still, he liked UT well enough, for whatever reasons, to commit when Butch was here. It's gotta be looking better now.

Cade Mays "relationship" should be with the University of Tennessee.

Legacy kids, like Cade are special. I hope that he and his family understands what his choosing the school would mean for the program as Coach Pruett restores it to its rightful standing in the SEC.

Sure, a young man with his talent can go most anywhere he wants. At the end of the day, he will be considered a great recruit at those schools.

At Tennessee, he will be considered a member of the Tennessee family and will be cared for and looked after no matter the type of success he has at the school.
