Listen to the interview above. Cade is most definitely a take for UGA.....Clemson, OSU, ND, and every other team in college football. Pittman and Jamaree are clearly trying to land Cade. I think it's a long shot, but if anyone can do it, it's Pittman.

You would be directing your rage at the wrong person. Mays going to UGA would be Currie's fault. At this point I am prepared to lose Mays to either Clemson or Georgia.

IF he went elsewhere, I'd think Clemson so as not having to play TN every year. That said, Cade is the one who reached out to UGA and is giving them the final OV before his announcement.

I still think he is looking for a reason to stay with Tn but time is ticking. As soon as this season is over, a new coach better be announced. At minimum, Butch needs fired before the last game where a new coach can be announced after the last game. Most states require a state job being posted for 7 days before being filled.

Him and Jameer Salyer have talked to each other about possibly playing together, I think that's why he reached out to take that visit

I am sure Mays does,but how does an AD act swiftly and bring in a top flight coach during the middle of the season?

Has to be someone not currently coaching, so choices are limited.

Gruden, Kelly, Miles, and Fulmer.

I am not interested in 3 of them and the 4th I don't think has much interest in UT. I suspect though that Currie has reached out to 2 of them already through back channels to gauge interest. Gruden is 99.9999% not coming, but even if he were to shock me and want the job, I don't there is even a chance that he would agree to accept the job until after the season. There is no way he would be a part of embarrassing Butch. Don't really want him anyway. Not sure he is built for the college game.

I don't know about Kelly, but coaches as a rule don't want to embarrass fellow coaches unless maybe there is already bad blood. I don't see him coming anyway.

Do not want Les or Phillip, but I don't think either would want to embarrass Butch. Fiulmer might agree to interim if Butch were to be fired, but I don't think Currie would ask. The whole point of an interim is supposedly to rally the team around someone in the lockerroom to energize them for the remainder of the season, which would not be Fulmer.

I just don't see how anyone thinks Currie is supposed to resolve this mid-season.

I just listened to an interview that Cade did with Volsports radio. It was all about his recruiting and visits. He brought up winning, competeing for championships and a winning program multiple times. He basically talked about Clemson and UGA. Not saying its definite, but he said absolutely nothing to give anyone faith that his commitment is still solid.

He is totally open to them. We will have to get a proven winner to get back in it. I would prepare to lose him. If he signs early, which is the plan, then it will be very tough to keep him as the new staff only has 21ish days. And thats if we make a hire the day after Vandy.

It seems like etsu's info is closer than most. I'd be curious as to know if there is no hire that could salvage it.
