'18 TN OL/DL Cade Mays (Transfer)

Here's what I don't get... everyone says Mayes wants to go to Clemson or GA to compete for titles...I get the Clemson love, but GA is one year removed from going 7-6. They cashed on unlike we couldn't last year. FL sucked, we sucked. I expect their to drop off next season. That said they will still be favored in the east, but it won't be the cake walk it was this year. I could see us competing for the east in two years. Heck maybe next year...those two yrs Mizzou went to ATL, wasn't GA loaded and favored?

pretty much spot on. And Clemson has only had 2 OL drafted in the last 9 years.

Can't wait to watch Emmerson and Lawless blow his ass up for four years and watch his characteristic on-field meltdown.

I wonder how uncomfortable dad will be sitting in a sea of orange, his own home, wearing Black and Red?

Even Vince played it neutral when Derek coached here.

He was committed forever, very vocal recruiter and when the season went south he decommitted publicly. As if the program needed another kick in the jimmies. I 100% believe this pissed off the players for bailing on them. Don't hate him myself.

This right here is why I would love for a kid like this to play at one of our rivals in UGA. The only issue I see if he goes to UGA is his path to playing time. He will be the headliner OL signee this year for UGA outside of Trey Hill (projects to be a guard) but will be caught behind the fruits of UGA's last two recruiting classes. As of right now their projected starting line-up on the OL in 2018 will look like this:

LT: Isaiah Wilson (RSFr.)
LG: Kendall Baker (Sr.), Pat Allen (RSJr.)
C: Laimont Gaillard (Sr.)
RG: Solomon Kindley (RSSo.), Ben Cleveland (RSSo.)
RT: Andrew Thomas (So.), Ben Cleveland (RSSo.)

Unless Cade learns how to snap the ball he will only be a serviceable back up until at minimum his 3rd year on campus. If UGA starts to drop off I wonder how well a kid with the kind of demeanor I have been hearing about will take that.

Also 5 Star G Jamaree Salyer will be in front of him if he chooses UGA .

According to UGA boards Mays dad is pushing him to UGA, I would think a VFL would not push his son to one of our rivals but nothing surprises me with some of our former players. I get you can't force your child to do something he doesn't want to do but that is completely different than encouraging him to go to a rival of UT.

Well it's not like he is choosing between us, UGA, and Clemson. He is choosing between UGA and Clemson. I guess his dad perfers Georgia.

UT is the laughing stock of college football. Why would anyone try convince their son to play at UT? The organization is so poorly run I'm surprised anyone with other P5 offers would go there.
