It's a grade issue. The kid knows the reason but just doesn't want to talk about it. If you'll remember during his recruitment he was a very quiet kid who didn't like to say much. Also, there were rumors his grades would be close back around signing day as well. Hate to lose him, we could have used the depth for sure.

We got Travis Henry in, a guy who could barely read or write. Why cant we get this guy?

Are Lawless and Peterson the only two not to make it, everybody else get in? If Lawless needs a score, I think they are doing the last test this week and grades will come back in July???

I hope this is the issue and not UT preventing him from enrolling to allow more room for grad transfers. Guy in the FF is claiming it has something to do with 25 new enrollees per calendar year. I would love some clarification on this

What's the problem?

Test score.

So his ACT wasn't good enough. Or maybe it's one of those instances where he retook the ACT and it was too good of a score and was flagged, too big of a jump from previous score?

Those ACT prep classes are legit. That very well could be the reason

Dude got in a nice private school. Grades/test scores "shouldn't" be an issue. Bad look for Nashville Christian School.

Private doesn’t necessarily mean better education-wise. Idk about Nashville Christian, so I can’t say for them. But there are plenty of small private schools nowadays that exist more for parents to shelter their children than for academics.

Lots of great private schools out there too, of course. But it’s a mistake to assume that a school has good education just because it’s private.

A private school ensures students pass all 16 core courses required for college admissions. He has those. UT has his ACT score so compliance knew what his final core GPA had to be to qualify. If he was borderline, UT knew it could be an issue.

He just graduated on 5/26 so his final transcript wasn't submitted to the NCAA until last week-- later than other schools. He has to be cleared before he can enroll-- if he is allowed to enroll.

Just saying....NCS prides itself as a great academic school and not having a high profile athlete qualify (IF that's the case) is a bad look.

If they are big enough to have a football team they should be providing a good education.

Could just be that he's not very good at standardized tests and messed up. I don't really know, but some kids just have a hard time with them. They aren't always the best indicators of intelligence or education IMO. Even though I was always good at them because of my supreme ability to guess in multiple choice questions. hahahahaha

I agree with the standardized testing (BS), but NCS's avg ACT is over 25.

Not all do, though.

Like I said, I don’t know enough about NCS to say either way.
