'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

With Hardy’s UT’connections , what are the reasons he chose Auburn and now seems to be trolling us? Has anything been reported of UT staff/coaches making a mistake which ticked Hardy off? Who was the lead coordinator? I know he gave us an in-home verbal a few days before ESD.
Cash is the overwhelming factor! And apparently he didn’t sign because he’s looking for the highest bidder.

ATTENTION
I don't buy that. Hardy is not some irreplaceable, 5 star, program-changing, difference maker. There is too much risk of being recruited over by waiting over a month to sign, while remaining verbally committed. We are so reluctant to take things at face value on this forum. Everything has to revolve around "trolling" or some ulterior motive at work. Maybe the guy is genuinely unsure of where he wants to sign? There is not a good explanation for why he didn't sign with Auburn in the early signing period, if he is 100% certain that is where he wants to go.

This is so very wrong. Most SEC schools would hold a spot for him, he is not losing his by waiting. If he was so unsure then why commit to Auburn? Or stay committed after NSD?

I was speculating... but the point is, he is not irreplaceable. He is not going to make or break anyone's class. And once again, if he is so sure that Auburn is where he wants to play, there was not a good reason to not sign with them in the early signing period. Like I just said, there is not always some ulterior motive at hand... this forum is ridiculous with calling everyone a "troll". It's so stupid.

I didnt call you a troll...

I don't buy this either... at least not to the extent that a poster on VolNation would have solid info about it.

Hahahahaha, I’m not asking you too buy it. But, if you think that this kid chose Auburn because of their great University and Academics you’re probably not paying attention.

Yes. If he was 100% sure and sold on AU he would have signed. No other explanation

You have no true clue. Some kids just want to play the game. He already got whatever Auburn donated so the ball is in his court if its indeed true. There's still a February 4 date for a reason and not everyon has to sign during the early signing period. Trust and believe this is the kind of prospect who can control his own narrative. Regardless of your assessment of him the ones that matter don't agree with you.

More money to all teams has actually made it harder to beat traditional doormats like Kentucky and South Carolina. More money helps the league stand out from other conferences but actually makes it harder to compete within the conference.
Thank you!

TV money and the "SEC" brand and reputation are things we never needed. They're only hurting our relative position.

Throw in possibility of hiring agents and making money from endorsements, will change my Saturdays Down South perspective.

The overwhelming majority of players who were verbally committed to a school prior to the early signing period, did sign with the school who they were committed to during the early signing period. Of course, he can wait until February 4th to sign, but that isn't what most players do unless there is indecision at hand. I said it another post, I do not believe one single word of any supposedly "insider information" on the recruiting forum of VolNation anymore. Not if it's from you or anyone else. It's BS. Hardy could have been paid... I can easily believe that he was. I just don't believe that anyone on this forum is privy to credible information regarding such activity. The people who are, would never bring it here. And let's face it, the track record of self-proclaimed "insiders" on this forum really sucks.
