'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

What's to stop a player from taking the bag of money and then go elsewhere? I mean, there's literally nothing Auburn could do about it. One reason amongst many that the bagman theory makes no sense.
Get paid after you sign, not before. If you wonder if they exist, look and see where Zykevious Walker commits today...the CB is wrong, he’s going to AU.

What guarantees you get paid then? How does a recruit know whether they'll get paid their unlawful payment? The whole thing sounds tenuous. Plus if Auburn is paying, so are we. So is Bama. So is Clemson. I doubt Auburn has cornered the market on corruption.

If they don’t, that would hurt future recruits they offered any incentives to. Regardless what they offered a recruit, recruits wouldn’t trust them. Again, not every recruit gets paid, MOST don’t. No one is saying UT (or any SEC school) doesn’t participate. The question is, why didn’t you match the offer on the ones who are paid. Sometimes it’s they like others better and want to use those same resources elsewhere, it’s not unlimited funds, for any school. Only AV knows why he (they) didn’t match AU.

Oh, and btw, no AU hasn’t cornered the market on corruption but it wasn’t for lack of trying on their part...

My understanding, Hardy never presented the opportunity to anyone.
AV and everyone else thought we were good.

Whatever Auburn does, that's a common theme..and concerning.

They pay, its part of the code. If the bag men did not pay, imagine the backlash. These kids and family would make it a nightmare, tell the story, especially in the social media age. There is a code that has been perfected over time. In the end, it’s a free country it’s hard to even be mad at it. They have perfected the system and it must work pretty damn well cause ain’t nobody talking

That’s not my understanding but doesn’t change he went to highest bid.

I been following recruiting for years, for some reason when it comes to auburn head to head or some where in the hunt they kick our butts. Just crazy, doesn’t matter who’s coaching.

🤷‍♂️

Correct on all fronts. We defended the attack.
Wow been quite the day i didn’t even watch the announcement as it was a forgone conclusion to everyone on UT side that he was a vol. Everyone got sideswiped here and from all the info that I have gotten it appears the father is the one who has made this decision and without involving others who were involved previously. Every single person that was involved from his side as of late yesterday said vol. no need to go into specifics but I believe something happened very late or early this am and we were not given a fair shake if that makes sense. Now all that being said....In my heart I think this one gets flipped once all the dust settles....
