'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

This is a positively shameful miss. I know we struggle head to head with Auburn but Knoxville is less than two hours from Chattanooga and Auburn is about 3.5 hours from Chattanooga and Hardy was a Vol legacy. He seemed like a Vol lock and then we must've fumbled the recruiting or couldn't go toe-to-toe with the Auburn recruiting tactics. I am uncertain if Rocker, despite being a good coach, needs to stick around because getting the jimmies and the joes is more important than the Xs and the Os. End of the day, this one hurts a lot, like Tate Ratledge and Chris Morris a lot, and we have had far too many misses on good targets this cycle. The staff needs to pick up the steam here and see if a flip is possible.

you want to put 50lbs on someone in 9 months? K

Who says the kid only has 9 months to do it though? He's a project .. but a very solid one. He's gonna be bigger than Aubrey Solomon when he fills out.
I'm basing my own assessment off of watching him play in person and not stars or stats or current measurements. Hoping that Keshawn (they're real tight) can get in his ear and help convince him that Tennessee would actually be his best opportunity. His father wants him at Bama tho .. still think they are at the top of his list but Tennessee is a strong candidate for several reasons. I've mentioned some of them but being close to his family is important as well

I clearly indicated many of those students and families at the school could utilize additional funds in some manner.
I thought McCallie was a private school ? I called my uncle who lives in Chatt and asked him, "What's up with these Chatt kids not showing any love for UT?". He said it was weird down there with all kinds of PuppyDawg fans and Bama fans to go with some Vols fans. But, he did say McCallie was a private school that Ted Turner (yeah, the WTBS, CNN and Jane Fonda, Turner) went there and they do give scholarships to ballers

lmao

Most of us have no problem blaming the staff when it's their fault. But contrary to your opinion, not everything is their fault. Everything suggests he was committed to UT, that he had led the staff to believe everything was still good, then shocked the hell out of everyone with his Auburn announcement. Not sure how being lied to is the coaching staff's fault, but hey, keep on trolling.
Dont waste your time arguing with him. He's a known troll.

Auburn is a great football school with great coaches and they are winning.
UT is mediocre at best with a 2nd year head coach that plays a less than mediocre QB with a broken left hand ahead of 2 talented freshmen QBs. UT isn't winning and is only competitive with teams in lower conferences or that are themselves struggling to maintain an above 500 season.

This is why Leech would have been good for UT. He doesn't require 4 star players to build a program and would have put together a competitive team which in time would get those 4 star players.

Pruitt may do the same but it looks to me as if he is waisting efforts on players that at this time UT doesn't appeal to.

We need to go get the best 2 and 3 star players we can, get competitive and then move our sites to higher ranked players.

And fans need to be honest with themselves... what 4 star player wold pick UT over BAMA, Auburn, GA, FLA? The list goes on. At this point we are on Vandy's level like it or not.

Henry, Wanya, Darnell etc. Do I need to continue?

@Geaux_Vols if what he told you is true, and is plausible because Rocker has a reputation for not being great on the recruiting trail, who was the secondary recruiter? These guys each have 2 coaches plus Pruitt from time to time. So who was the other guy that dropped the ball? And then the last second flip, I just don't buy what he is saying. And why is he in here for pages vehemently defending this. Why waste your time?
Rocker wasn't the primary or secondary recruiter.

No 🤬n way you are Vol...🤬 off low life troll scumbag.

Born in Knoxville and grew up near by. Went to UT and have been living in the area for over 20 years.
If your son was a player being recruited by UT, Bama, Auburn and Florida where would you want him to play?
Remember it's about your son and not who you root for. What school would you choose at this time.

Do you think Arch Manning will come to UT if our program doesn't drastically improve?

I would want my son to play at TN always but especially now with the coaches we have. Gus is not secure at Auburn, Nick is going to retire and never would I want him to play for Dweebie Dan and Mono Megan.

UT, all day every day and twice on Sunday. If I had a son, I'd want him at the school I think best helps him become a man. I'd pick Pruitt over Saban, Malzahn, and Mullen. But JMO.

Why would Coopers boy come to UT?

Interviewed on news just now and said “I knew Saturday where I wanted to go”

When did he allegedly give Pruitt the news?

I’m thinking that statement may have not only totally burned down the bridge but it likely rerouted the river as well.
