'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

NO just honest about the way things are.

Well the big winner on the Plains lost to the mediocre QB last year. And that was without the two 5 star tackles and the freshman all American who was sideline with blood clots. Actually I regret engaging you. Like everyone else said......**** off.

That was last year and how's the program look now?
My point was don't blame the kid for going to a better team.
And don't simply shoot for top tier players and ignore others.
They don't count until they sign. Harrison Bailey and plenty of other 4* are committed. And how does the program look now? You miss that our program had the SEC defensive player of the week the last two weeks? And the OPOTW 2 weeks ago? Unfortunately we don't have all the pieces yet, but we are building. And our coaches are doing amazing work with who choses to wear orange. If he's too weak to join us now, he could have at least been man enough to say so. But we all know those were not the deciding factors. You can go cheer for whomever floats your boat.

Check the post history, tells you all you need to know. Troll from the beginning.

Auburn is a great football school with great coaches and they are winning.
UT is mediocre at best with a 2nd year head coach that plays a less than mediocre QB with a broken left hand ahead of 2 talented freshmen QBs. UT isn't winning and is only competitive with teams in lower conferences or that are themselves struggling to maintain an above 500 season.

This is why Leech would have been good for UT. He doesn't require 4 star players to build a program and would have put together a competitive team which in time would get those 4 star players.

Pruitt may do the same but it looks to me as if he is waisting efforts on players that at this time UT doesn't appeal to.

We need to go get the best 2 and 3 star players we can, get competitive and then move our sites to higher ranked players.

And fans need to be honest with themselves... what 4 star player wold pick UT over BAMA, Auburn, GA, FLA? The list goes on. At this point we are on Vandy's level like it or not.
Tennessee is a great football school. We've got great coaches. We are winning.

You don't like it? Get the hell out.

You wanna defend another school against us? Get the hell out.

You have something else to say? Don't "waist" the effort. Because it probably won't be received very well. Have a great evening.

Born in Knoxville and grew up near by. Went to UT and have been living in the area for over 20 years.
If your son was a player being recruited by UT, Bama, Auburn and Florida where would you want him to play?
Remember it's about your son and not who you root for. What school would you choose at this time.

Do you think Arch Manning will come to UT if our program doesn't drastically improve?

So since you’re such a lifelong fan I’m sure we’ll be able to find your posts in threads where things went good for us. The more likely guess is you’re just one of those flies that shows up when there’s a turd on the ground.

This is a positively shameful miss. I know we struggle head to head with Auburn but Knoxville is less than two hours from Chattanooga and Auburn is about 3.5 hours from Chattanooga and Hardy was a Vol legacy. He seemed like a Vol lock and then we must've fumbled the recruiting or couldn't go toe-to-toe with the Auburn recruiting tactics. I am uncertain if Rocker, despite being a good coach, needs to stick around because getting the jimmies and the joes is more important than the Xs and the Os. End of the day, this one hurts a lot, like Tate Ratledge and Chris Morris a lot, and we have had far too many misses on good targets this cycle. The staff needs to pick up the steam here and see if a flip is possible.

Hardy is probably- even at his size - more of a playmaking DT rather than a gap stopper like the 3-4 DL.

Bagman aside , it's about fit at the end of the day. Rocker is coaching those boys up.
Kurt Garland and Latrell Bumphis are legit SEC D-lineman because of Rocker.

Strength and potential are the main things you want at DLine. We need to keep adding playmakers at LB and secondary.

We only have the one commit on DL and six DBs. Need 3-4 more DL in this class. If it's only three, none can be projects.

We do not want him if he and his family told the coaching staff a few days ago that he was coming to UT and then troll them by picking Auburn. We do not need student/athletes like this in our program. Go another direction.
