'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

I just can't believe this happened tbh. Dude was all Vol. One trip to AU and he's gone. What was once a promising class isn't looking so good right now.
agree.
and no one "let" him get away.

this notion that we have just been sitting on our hands with this kid is just freaking dumb. (not aimed at you)

Dude, just stop with all the faux “I’m an insider bag man” crap. How many more times you gonna spew this crap and be wrong (again) before everybody on here just tell you yo stfu? Go away dude.
Dude, He along with our coaches, players and other recruits and recruiting services were lied to. Doesn't mean he's not privy to inside info. Get over it man. It sucks, but it is what it is.

IDK he’s been lying to the staff and UT commits for months.
I know what he has been telling the staff. I am wondering if he just got caught up in the big weekend at Auburn and with the cabin and all that. If he has been Auburn all along and has been straight up lying, then I honestly don't want him here.

Of course it’s not good. Maybe we need a DL coach who isn’t **** at recruiting and the results will change. Targeting the guy and his family is just absurd
Meh! Coaches and develops top notch. Keep and hire Lupoi.

Kid just made a life changing sum of money for his family who prob didn’t have much. Say we’re talking a difference of 25k or more.. what would u have done in his shoes?

Not lie to friends and fellow recruits about it and make them feel betrayed. Not string the other coaches along, then publicly blindside them. Talk to the school that I'd led to believe was getting my commitment and see if there was another solution. That's what I'd want my kid to do. There's no good reason to do it any other way.

The Georgia criticism of Tracy Rocker is starting to look even more true. He's a great DL coach but a terrible recruiter. Doesn't appear that he was heavily involved in this one, but DL seems to literally be the only area we struggle recruiting at.

Attacking a 17 year old about where he decides to play football and go to school says a lot more about you than him.

Appreciate the PSA, Saint Kingston.

If Tennessee lost him over 25k I may have a aneurysm lol
When u talk about these recruits typically you’re looking at a package valued anywhere from 50k-100k for SEC. Some elite recruits will command more. Here’s food for thought: we know we will need $ for a certain elite guy seen around campus recently and we just refused to play the game with the Barn on this kid. Lol trying to make myself feel better maybe

Calm down, it is 1 player.....
Not really. It was Gilbert who we led for until we lost the first two games. Then it was Ojulari, now Hardy, and do you really believe Baron is going to sign here? I hope we can convince Big O to sign here but with Jay going elsewhere the confidence there isn't strong either. Hope we can close strong but to act like everything is fine is just naive.
