'20 TN DE Jay Hardy (Auburn commit)

Dude, just stop with all the faux “I’m an insider bag man” crap. How many more times you gonna spew this crap and be wrong (again) before everybody on here just tell you yo stfu? Go away dude.
bad take. you just need somebody to blame. and that blame should be squarely aimed about 200 miles southeast of Chattanooga.

EVERYBODY had him going to TN. Price and Callahan were both on the radio YESTERDAY saying the same thing.

this is a terrible take.

how in the hell do you lose a rumored silent, to another SEC team in state? no way to spin this, its a chink in Jeremy's armor.

AV told us Hardy has been committed for months. Price confirmed that today.

AV told us Auburn made a last ditch effort and we fought it off. According to Price, the Hardy family sat down with the staff this weekend and told them he was all Vol. Jay was even telling other recruits.

Assuming any of us had known the actual circumstances, we would’ve written the same things AV did. He obviously has insight into what’s going on, just can’t do anything about a kid that changes his mind and doesn’t tell the staff.

I think AV does us a solid by letting us know what’s going down, but he’s also repeatedly locking horns with Rodney Garner and his bagmen for a program with absolutely no scruples in their war with Bama to be the king of inbred mountain.

Keep fighting the good fight, AV.

this has way more to do with whatever the hell Auburn did than anything we didn't do.

by all accounts up to yesterday this kid was coming to TN, including from what he apparently told everyone on his visit LAST weekend.

lazy takes up in here today.

Yes, recruits do read these boards. And Pruitt says every week that he wants his players to do things the right way. I doubt anybody at UT thinks this was handled the right way. Recruits can choose any school they want. They're under no obligation to choose the home school or the legacy school. They're also under no obligation to treat people who've supported them and been loyal to them with respect. But it's the right way to handle business. So, recruits read that.

I mean it could be worse. He's not signing until February so he could have kept this charade up and flipped then.

Ugly way to handle business, for sure.

this staff did everything it was supposed to do to land the kid, including allowing him to silently commit and hold his spot. he's visited TN almost 10 times this year. the team on the field is showing signs of life, especially on the defensive side of the ball. they showed out against USCe, the development of the kids on the DL is pretty freaking apparent.

everything Tennessee was supposed to do to sign kids like Hardy and Baron they freaking did it....'member how important it was for all these in state kids to be part of something special? how tight they all were supposed to be? hard, baron, KL, Mays etc.....the family has been up mulitple times, his brother played here and came on a visit with him agasint USCe.....

he makes one trip to Auburn and he's "all in"? B freaking S.

blame who you want.....most of you will be wrong.

Our signing day flip
Pruitt told him to commit so we could have a big signing day hoorah......Guy can have an imagination right????

So any of the recruiting services offer an explanation yet on why this silent, family told coaches he was coming here THIS WEEK, did what he did?

Blame the Family not the kid. From the beginning, Hardy's father was saying Jay would not sign until February and take all his OVs. For a legacy Vol Fan to say this was a big red flag to me. Hopefully, the Family is getting the Auburn $$$ upfront and Jay can switch and sign with UT in the end.
