you're wrong. i know plenty of people from my high school that have gotten 18-19 on their ACTs and got into UT.
not anymore. with the hope scholarship, UT's standards have gone way up. The average ACT before the hope was a 24.7 and now it's up to a 27. The average GPA's gone up like .3 points as well. That's a big spike over 4 years. People with 18-19's are only getting in if they have disabilities, are minorities, have connections through promise school, or have a huge boatload of extracurricular leadership. I'm a student who works in the admissions office, and they don't give 18-19's a second glance unless there's something else connected with it
ha trust me, they don't have connections. i made a 23 and didn't get in and i have an uncle that has been a professor there for years and years. but anyway. hope we land Oku and he can make it into school
yea, i really don't know. they aren't athletes or anything like that. guys just like me. i guess i applied too late or something. thats why i'm stuck at ETSU for 2 years. So you got a 23 and didn't get in. Your friends got in with 19s. Were they athletes? Did they all have like 4.0 GPAs but couldn't take a test? Do you know the reason for this despairity? Just curious, my niece got a 24 and she didn't get in.
