TN Commit David Oku

If he commits, how do we think this affects Creer and Poole? Any chance anyone of these guys transfers? I mean, Hardesty should be the featured back next year.

I think Clawson will use all three of them. Including Oku and Giles. To be an effective spread team you need speed guys. Makes since.

My dad was talking today about bear bryant's teams in the years before scholly limits. He said one year the bear had 16 running backs and they just kept throwing those fresh legs at you until you broke down. Plus MH needs to stay healthy for a full season before we crown him the feature back next year.

hey guys i just got my account working. I've coming here for awhile now but I just wanted to say hi and that i actually live in OKC and have seen Oku play and he is a beast i hope he picks us! Go Vols!

Those days of announcing what school are going to are special for the family. I would want my dad there too! I know we want him to go ahead and do it for our sakes but give the guy a break. I think TN needs the kinds of kids that want their family involved.

I really do not see what the hype is with this kid. He will be at a JC next year regardless which D1 school he picks.

Change of plans for ESPNU 150 RB David Oku
David Oku was schedule to announce his intentions on Wednesday, but after speaking with his father Bo Oku, who is currently serving in Iraq and will be back in October, The Oklahoman reports.
Oku said, "I thought I was ready. But when he said he was coming back, I started thinking about it a little more and figured I'd wait until he got back."
Louisville, Michigan, Nebraska and Tennessee are the finalists for the No. 13-rated ball-carrier.

you cannont fault the kid for wanting his dad to be there. i think that's a class move on his part.

id be willing to agree on that one. scout.com says he has a core GPA of 2.4 and an ACT score of 15. Thats not good news. I doubt very seriously he improves on his ACT, what does Tennessee require you to make on the ACT? 21?
