Another Recruit Calls Out UF for Negative Recruiting

This time it's in the David Oku article.....here are the quotes.

"Oku admitted that he doesn't like negative recruiters, citing a moment when friend and current Vol Gerald Jones was getting heavily recruited by both the Tennessee and Florida.

"That's why (Gerald) didn't like Florida," Oku said. "They just kept badmouthing Tennessee. He didn't want to hear that and I'm the same way."

Great stuff! Gotta love anything that embarasses Urban. I'm sure everyone uses some negative recruiting but it must be pretty bad for Urban to keep getting called out about it.

As for that so-called secret school, Oku gave a clue to where he'll be tripping on September 13th.

"It's a secret," Oku said. "I'm not telling anyone about it, but if they see me on campus at the game then it might get out. It's one of the most dominant schools in the nation. I will give you this hint. It's the biggest game on that weekend."

"I just got done talking to coach Caldwell," Oku said. "He's so laid back and that's the way I like it. He's not a coach that tries to sway you out of every other school that's recruiting you. He doesn't say he's dying to get me like other coaches. He just says they would love to have me. He's such a laid back guy and I think that's why a lot of kids like him and he's so successful at recruiting."

I believe he already knows where he is going to play and I believe we get him because some of the statements he has made in the past. New teams jump on and off he list but we have been there from the start. Last article say he like to line up and run down hill this is Tennessee football

That's also FSU, Louisville, and Nebraska football.

But I think we get him as well.

If he is really thinking about USC, then there depth chart kills ours.. so that shouldn't be our problem

I liked the td where his helmet came off and he kept going even though there was still a chance he would be tackled. Oku is #1 APB, Giles is #2. Thats what I'm talking about!

oku liked louisville but didn't like the atmosphere on Sunday. he still is officially visiting UT on 9/19.

rivals headline made it sound like he loved his trip to louisville and that he was going to drop someone. doesn't sound like the vols have anything to worry about.

come one dave, we want you man. you , giles, toney williams, stokes and nunes would be a legit backfield/offense.

Dropped FSU and added Michigan. Wasn't impressed with the atmosphere after the Louisville game. Nebraska will be our biggest competition.

I agree. I think Nebraska will be our biggest competition. Did any of you guys here about the game Tomey Williams had the other night? Ran for like over 300 yds against Chattahocee. He keeps playing like that he''l be moving up in the rankings before long.

yes he ran for 6 td's and caught another. His performance was soo good, the AJC made a top 10 all time HS football performance list and his 7 TD made him #10. FYI A Herschel Walker performance was #7
