David Oku, the nation's top all-purpose running back, is scheduled to announce his decision next Wednesday. But as multiple sources have confirmed, there will be little suspense. Oku is expected to announce his decision to play at Tennessee, and word is that he already has told the Tennessee coaches. Oku has taken only one official visit, two weeks ago to Louisville, but he did make the trip to Knoxville for the Vols' spring game. The success of fellow Oklahoma product Gerald Jones for the Vols has been a big selling point.

Still have awhile until we know for sure. Oku and Giles in the same class is big time though. Now lets get some dt's.

Evidently Oku has already informed the Vol staff. He moved his original commit date up and has not visited or even been to Michigan, Nebraska, or USCw. Two weeks ago he went to Louisville on an official, but I heard he was NOT impressed. I'm sure the pounding from Kentucky didn't help either. He attended the O&W and traveled from Oklahoma with Gerald Jones' parents. The contributor is VERY reliable, and I would be dumbfounded if he is incorrect. He cited "mulitiple sources have confirmed...."

Maybe Oku sees how much Gerald is being used and the opportunities he has had at UT. Even in the UCLA game, as bad as UT played, Gerald did a lot in that game compared to the other receivers. Then you add in his G-Gun and kick returns.

I'd love to get this commit...

20 tds in 10 games last year
9.0 yards per carry

We keep pulling in RB recruits like this and we'll never make the transition to the spread...

So all of this is still just a rumor? Any confirmation from anyone other than his brothers' roomate's cousin's neighbor, or whoever "confirmed" this?
