We will forget about David Oku when Lennon Creer runs for 1,000yrds plus this year!!

to be completely honest i'm glad he's not coming here. i haven't wanted him for a while now. he's a total divo and we don't need that. he got his feelings hurt when he found out we were interested in a few others and visiting auburn and syracuse were his way of throwing a temper tantrum. i don't think kiffin and the new staf wanted him nearly as much as some of the fans. don't let the door hit you on the way out mr. oku.

I am sorry that David is not coming to UT. But everyone here was prasing him when he said he was. O well, Its funny how everyone mind changes so fast.

Actually if you had been paying attention the more crap that came from this kid the more people started to say good riddance BEFORE he decommited. People did not just all of a sudden turn, this has been in the works for weeks now.

i can say without question for the last month and a half i haven't cared one bit if he decided to go somewhere else. his actions lately have shown me(and i think a lot of others)that we don't want him here.

Start out with Oku and Giles... end up with neither and according to some here that's good?

Sorry but no. These kids are working through a difficult situation. They're the same kids they were back when you loved them for being UT commits... and they have the same talent.

Just sour grapes...

oh well bro, nothing we can do. bad day today, it was expected. i guess we will have to hope for 10 freshmen that are ready to play year after next.

i'm sure some might be disappointed but don't try and speak for everyone buddy. there are plenty of fans who have been unhappy with oku for a while. its very clear that he hasn't wanted to be a vol for some time now, therefore i could care less if he doesn't sign here. in fact, i'd rather he didn't. this guy is drama. i think there's a lot reasons that kiffin and the staff weren't too high on him and those reasons have shown themself over the last month or so.

some of it is sour grapes with Oku. Much of it is wanting no part of the whiny prima donna thing.

make sure to open your mouth next time you actually know what you're talking about. i did not want oku. i won't try and speak for everyone else(i'll leave that to you. i wanted lacy. i'm disappointed we're not getting lacy. i really could care less about oku.

Sorry but I haven't read nor seen anything where the kid acted like a whiny prima donna. What are you basing that on?

He committed to UT and then had second thoughts. Maybe that was in part due to Drayton's departure but who really knows?

Alot of fans got frustrated with him but that doesn't mean their frustration was justified.

If you want to be frustrated then maybe start with O's strategy of spending the staff's limited recruiting time trying to flip other kids rather than keeping guys like Oku and Phillips firmly in the fold.

ESPNU said he was still considering UT. With us not getting any RBs so for today, that should help our chances.

We aren't hurting at RB right now so it isn't a necessity that we get Oku. It'd be nice to have him, but he's not a Marlon Brown type for us.
