TN Commit David Oku

I think Oku is gone, and I'll tell you why. I stumbled upon a website, and if I'm not mistaken, was created by his HS coach Gary Rose with information on his players' recruiting. I went to David Oku's info, and he has listed about 10 teams he is interested in. Guess who is not on that list? UT!! I will try and find the site again and post it here, but I was shocked and confused why Oku didn't list UT.

you seriously can't post stuff like this and not back it up.

umm..I think I found something...but I'm not sure...not sure who made it...I may have misinterpreted it...but I lost it...umm...try to help you guys later but in the meantime scramble around arguing about my post which holds no credibility till I can even prove that the site exists....

I think I saw a spaceship...might have been a weather balloon...I was on cold medicine at the time...it might have been a radio tower...I saw lights...maybe I didn't see lights...I don't know if it really happened...but I'm going to speculate and spread rumors anyways....

I think he is talking about the website that Bryce Brown only does stuff for now. I was on it the other day and saw where Oku didn't have us listed. It obviously hasn't been updated in a while if it doesn't list us.

Tanker, I'm just kidding with you, but you may want to remember these links before sending the board even further into panic mode.

the rumor on Oku is that Butler who runs Potential Players and its website, may be sending Oku to visit other schools in order to promote Potential Players. the more looks his guys get, then the higher his profile rises as a trainer.

Potential Players - David Oku

the list is very old and hasn't been updated in a loooong time.

Oh ok.

Anyway, I was going to tell you, really enjoy reading your post..Keep it up!

I might be wrong, but didn't Oku say he didn't want to be in a spread offense b/c that is what Auburn is going to be running next year. If so, that should eliminate them.

That's a good point, and that is what makes the Auburn visit so strange. If Chizik is going to let Malzhan run his spread offense, it is about as wide open as you get, unless they are running something different.

However, the offense they ran at Arkansas when Malzhan was there wasn't that wide open if I remember correctly. They were able to use MacFadden and Jones pretty well. Maybe he can they will adjust to their personnel.

I realize it is a hurry up, no huddle offense, but I thought it was like a modified spread attack. Seems like they throw a lot more than they run, but maybe not. Tulsa sure did put up some big numbers, that's for sure.

Yep, that's the site. Didn't mean to give anyone a heart attack or spread panic. Sorry, bunch.

even the Rivals guys are saying look out for AU

the Rivals guys also think we're in play for Hardy & Lacy. obviously they're different types of backs, but it doesn't matter who's at RB if we don't get decent O-line/QB play.

if our staff gets the O-line to play better, I'll feel much better about whoever is getting the ball----Hardesty, Creer, Poole, Toney Williams, Oku/Hardy

Plus, Auburn already has a commitment from the top JUCO All-Purpose back, Onterrio McCaleb. He is ranked a 6.0 and Oku a 5.9. I just don't understand why this is happening, what could have possibly occurred to make him switch up at the last minute?

i usually take the cold medicine route. covers your a@@.:ill_h4h:

I know people keep saying it, but I don't understand why he would go to AU. He specifically stated he doesn't want to go to a spread offense and thats what they have...

Well is Oku doesn't sign with Tennessee just remember that Ja'kouri Williams was rated by some as the #1 all purpose back in the country coming out of high school. I personally think Oku will be a stud but "all purpose" backs are very hard to judge. That being said I really hope Oku sticks with us. With all the negative recruiting going on I would guess it's hard for a high school kid to know who to trust. By next year our staff will have a whole year to gain the trust of the kids were recruiting and all the negative bs that seems to be used against our staff won't be effective.
