TN Commit David Oku

Oku's commitment should move the Vols to 7-8th in the team rankings as long as nobody in front of us picked up any commits.

lets just hope we actually use these players. If Phil stays around I am afraid they won't see the field till their junior season

what are we going to do in the backfield?? We have so many top notch running backs. There's Creer, Poole, Giles, Oku, Hardesty, and not to mention the other rbs that have committed in this class in the others from last years class. Theres going to be a lot of talent that don't see much PT

If Clawson stays around I see him using Giles and Oku kinda like Brandon James and Trindon Holiday. WIth Creer and Hardesty getting the carries.

None of the guys you've mentioned have thus far proven to be top notch anything.

Sorry, I just can't get excited about the committments of these kind of guys because I have 0 confidence that Oku (and Giles for that matter) will ever be used properly with this staff.

ok what you are not seeming to grasp here, is that this is a good problem....

Oh yee of little faith.

We will have a NEW staff next year. :)

David Oku and Jarvis Giles in the same class is pretty sweet. I just hope we keep both of them on offense. We have a history of moving high profile RB's to the defensive side of the ball.

Yawn...have known this for a few weeks...welcome aboard David...Glad your in Orange and White...bring that talent and speed cause we need some athletes badly

Welcome on board David. I have checked this thread almost every day for 6 months. Then the one weekend I'm gone, you pull the trigger and make it official. You and Giles can be like Cadillac and Brown if our coaches are smart and you want to be.

"Go ahead and tell everybody that I'm committed to Tennessee," Oku, who is the nation's No. 94 player and the No. 2 player in Oklahoma, said. "I was really ready to announce back in September, but I wanted to let things play out a little bit longer and be comfortable with my choice.

"I definitely am now. This is home."

.

They were really excited when I told them originally back in September that I was coming. I told coach Fulmer and coach Drake. Coach Drake is a real down to earth guy, and I like him."
