It isn't necessarily competition but repetitions. He probably doesn't want to be part of a USC type of logjam at RB and knows UT will probably sign one or two excellent backs next year.

I agree 87. I don't think people realize what we have on campus right now. If, and I know it is a big if, Hardesty can stay healthy he can be a tremendous contributor. Also, Creer is solid as well and gives us speed to turn the corner.

I like Creer a great deal but haven't seen him do anything yet that suggests he is a real threat to get to the corner against the better D's UT plays. Certainly not in the league of Coker in that regard.

I like Creer's potential but he might want to consider holding onto the football if he wants to be the feature back next season. Just can't have your feature back laying it on the ground, like he was prone to last season.

There is a new article on Go Vols Xtra stating Oku is in no hurry and is possibly looking at Ole Miss now. The Drama continues...:crazy:

I like Creer a lot as our main rb.

And we don't even know how Toney Williams compares, and he will be there this spring.

Lastly, I hope Vereen gets another chance at rb; he showed some flashes last summer before they moved him.

I think that Oku has figured out that if he comes here he will have to red shirt with the running backs we have.

I am pretty sure Kiffin isn't trying to hard to keep him anymore. a little tired of the games when he can find someone better next year or snag brown. He will take him but he is more worried about Brown, Charles and 2010 class.

I really believe it will be hard to beat out Hardesty and Creer. Kiffin is a fan of both. Hardesty has been asked to be a leader on and off the field. Brown is the only one with a chance in my opinion and thats if he even came here.
