[Theodore] finished the season with five interceptions, 12 pass breakups and 30 solo tackles to earn Division II-AAA all-state recognition. He did not give up a TD reception in 13 games.
"He has such a nose for the football," Baylor coach Erik Kimrey said. "Jamyan is a very intelligent and intuitive kid, and when he breaks on the ball he tracks it in the air extremely well. In the McCallie game, he pretty much just ripped the ball away on a couple of those. There's an instinctual thing that corners have where they can anticipate and track the football. I'm an offensive guy, so I know he has the skill set of a receiver but the heart and mindset of a DB, so we recognized that's where his future lies. He's a top-shelf athlete with elite change of direction and top-end speed. He was the fastest player on our team last year." Baylor’s Theodore commits to Vols | Chattanooga Times Free Press
