I was at that meet, if I’m not mistaken he had not practiced and never ran again in the track season AND he didn’t have spikes. I think they wanted to get him a baseline run and that was it. Dodson only ran a few times as we were there at the Fast Break meet and he only ran the 400 and not the 100. I will say if we want speed we should recruit Cunningham from Tyner and I’m not even sure he plays football lol. Dude was a freshman and went 10.31 at the front runner meet. Went as fast as 10.29 this season and beat Wyatt 10.66 to 11.06 in a meet. Nevermind, looked it up and he’s already visited TN as a WR/RB lolFaster than Dodson

I see his fastest 100 meter time is 11.69

That’s nuts for a freshman to run!I was at that meet, if I’m not mistaken he had not practiced and never ran again in the track season AND he didn’t have spikes. Yes it is, he would just run however fast he needed to win usually. Just nice and fluid without a ton of energy spent it looks like when he runs. I figured with some prep and spikes and such Jamyan would run low 11 in 100. For some reason a few of their football players(Baylor) didn’t really run much. Dodson only ran 100 3 times I think and the 200 and 400 a time or 2.That’s nuts for a freshman to run!
Yeah, both went up for the visit and both loved it with more visits to TN to come for the 2. When I first watched him run I seriously thought he was a senior because he took off and left some really fast guys, didn’t know until got home to see he was a freshman! As far as Tyner being a hotbed, both really would be better off at Baylor or McCallie. Not sure I remember the last time a Tyner player was a big time recruit and did well at college level in football.we've already offered Dion Edwards, his teammate and fellow '28 as well. Tyner a hotbed again?![]()
