'26 TN ATH Joel Wyatt

You can do what you want. Not sure how your 'rights' are being infringed upon. Just important to let others that don't overract know there are people with more intel that have quite a bit more knowledge on the topic. But carry on standing your roof with chicken wire and aluminum foil to come up with your conclusions as to what a 17-18 year old is thinking

Okay thanks.

I agree - I’ve thought it was the Vols day one from when he started getting top D1 love. Big vol boosters have helped him since he was little. Not saying there’s anything shady going on - it’s the opposite- but basically his second family that’s helped to raise him are huge vol fans. I’ll be shocked if he goes anywhere else.

I dont get why the staff is so dead set on him being a leo and not wr. Our wr depth is horrible and he could provide that big body wr that we need for ‘26. Would suck badly if we miss on the top instate guy for that reason. Not to mention we only have 1 wr committed for ‘26, but 2 LEOS already, and it’s looking like keys will either be lsu or miami and bey is going to a&m, we need him at wr
Didn’t age well. We now have 5 new WR’s from 2025 and 2026 classes plus Jefferson as a transfer with more to come.

Nope, still aging like fine wine lol

We hav 7 scholarship wr’s this year, 4 who have never taken a collegiate snap, and only 444 total receiving yards

We lose one (Brazzell) after the ‘25 season and currently only have 2 committed for ‘26. Depth still is bad, and unless we pull keys and another wr, albeit from hs or portal, our depth is bad.

You want to fill a 2 deep bare minimum with players, especially at wr where we seem to be injury prone

lol…the position that I really worry about the least in this offense.

Unless you think Brazzell is declaring early for the NFL, he will be back in 2026.

You seem to be so happy while spouting off how you are going to be right about how bad we will be. Troll for sure. Enough post to put doubt but troll none the less.

Nope, but go on making those false narratives though

Because we’ve had wide receivers run open every game for 4 seasons. It will continue.
Not last year lol, Thornton was the only one and he’s gone now. Thornton couldve been better than hyatt and tillman if he just stayed healthy

May want to check this Twitter thread.

Looks like more than just Thornton running open to me

Not all of these are wide open but these are plays that were being made when the Qb got it in range of Payton, Jones, Tillman, Hyatt, healthy squirrel, and even Keyton.

I’ve seen the Nico to Thornton slant vs Vandy a bunch and it worked but the easier play would have been to lob it to Matthews who was stacked to the left side. No qb is going to make all the layups but if you hit a few more and it changes the way games play out. Receivers have to be more consistent catching the ball too. Too many drops the last 2 years.

This is the craziest one lol

They actually were running open last season, Tennessee just had a QB that couldn't effectively get the WRs the ball. Pays to actually pay attention when watching the games if you're going to deliver hot takes. Also not sure what is up with all of the WR talk on a player's thread that is going to end up playing defense.

Could be wrong but him delaying his commitment might be a good thing for us.

This is the first time I've heard AP say specifically we are willing to let him play safety. Makes me wonder if he was planning on choosing Vandy and now we've given him more to think about.

The negative outlook could be that Oklahoma has entered the picture after recently offering. Only reason I say that is AP's statement about "someone else cracking the door open." AP chooses how he words things very carefully and doesn't say things just to say them.

I think you might be on to something. AP has been coy and speaking in some VQ lingo for a while on Wyatt which makes me think that Wyatt is trending away from the Vols.
