Need to reel some of you guys back in. 🍊👍😀👊😃🍊👍This is for suggestions for Omaha. Most of us are going nowhere near KC. Just sayin.
Sorry, it was an accident! That was on me. 😔 I guess they were flying into KC and driving or something. I wasn't paying too much attention since I'm not going this time.

Idk any thing about Nebraska but from what I know off the top of my head, the popular foods are: local steak, reuben sandwich, pork tenderloin sandwich (which is like a Wiener Schnitzel), and raisin pie. Frugal Warren Buffet, I hear, recommends the 99¢ McDonalds hamburger and a Coke. 😂 There are bound to be some good restaurants and outstanding tailgating.

Look at this if you like sushi: Omaha chef ditched ‘familiar trappings’ in his restaurants. Now he’s a James Beard Award finalist. (Not that seems a natural so far from the sea!)

There’s a “free bet” blackjack table across the river at the Council Bluffs Harrahs. Just sayin. Double downs and splits are on the house - never seen that before. I walked out sittin’ pretty and I never win at blackjack.

Yep. This! And Block 16 got some JB recognition as well. The locals say it’s the best burger joint.

I went to the Boiler Room for dinner on Tues night. Also a great place but more expensive. Work entertaining perk. I went to UT in the early mid 90s so the term Boiler Room brings back memories.

Just learned this lesson the hard way- if you are in the outfield sections, the blue of the seat backs will turn a sweet white Vols polo blue when you lean back.

Joe's KC (formerly Oklahoma Joes) got a lot of attention nationwide after Anthony Bourdain featured it on one of his shows. Its a staple in KC, but everybody here has different favorites based on pulled pork, burnt ends, ribs, and sides (Q39, Joes, Jacks Stack, Gates, Arthur Bryants, etc). Gates and Bryants are the originals. There are always new BBQ hot spots popping up. I was never a fan of Q39 because I thought it was overpriced for the portion sizes. It was super popular for a while but seems to be fading a bit. My staple that I take people to from out of town is Jacks Stack in the Freight House District near Union Station, because everything on the menu is fairly solid and is a great atmosphere. Some popular ones right now in the area are Slaps and newer places like Meat Mitch, Harp BBQ, and Wolfepack BBQ.
The burnt end brisket at Jacks Stack changed my life. I ate it twice in 4 days a couple years back when I visited lol

Let me get this straight… Boo had too many Jell-O shots before he ate a Rueben?
