Mission accomplished - everywhere you turn today, and now even Volnation is talking about Oscars where NO ONE would have been without this "stunt". I haven't actually fought since high school more than a few years ago, but if someone angry is headed toward me, my hands will not be behind my back and my face stuck out toward them.

Real men don’t slap. They punch. What a wuss

As dumb as his reaction was, he's smart. A punch could have produced a hospitizable result. As a consequence, a lawsuit where he'd lose all or nearly all of his millions. Think of it a limited special operation mission., non-Putin style.

Chris Rock could press charges just as easily for a slap as a punch. He already has said he will not do so

I know. What I said was: A punch could have produced a hospitizable result. Which could have been a broken jaw, a fall where he hit his head on the floor or something, thus entitled to a far heavier compensation than what a slap would cause.

It was staged. If you look at the video Chris was leaning forward and braced for the slap.

It was absolutely not staged. Chris Rock was flustered and shot. He he leaned in thinking perhaps he was going to embrace him or kind of trash talk back to him. He was stunned by the embrace and you could tell when Will Smith was shouting back to him that it was no joke.

No way that thing was staged. You could hear Smith yelling about keeping his family out of your f------ mouth. Chris Rock crossed the line making fun of the dude's wife, but I think he could have waited until a later time to clock him instead of on national TV. I guess some lessons are tough to learn--don't make fun of how a guy's wife looks on national TV.

I don’t like Chris Rock. I think there is a double standard with his comedy racially. That being said he didn’t deserve to get slapped. It was a joke. And with that being said…Will Smith doesn’t have to cuss to sell records but I do so f him and f Chris Rock too.

I'm pretty sure that it was NOT 'staged". Will Smith was sitting there laughing until Jada gave him "the look". -- Guess it's better to slap it out then & there than to go home and deal with an angry woman!
