I don’t like Chris Rock. I think there is a double standard with his comedy racially. That being said he didn’t deserve to get slapped. It was a joke. And with that being said…Will Smith doesn’t have to cuss to sell records but I do so f him and f Chris Rock too.

Not really. Look what Carlin got away with comedically. Everybody just knew he wasn't a racist. Louis CK is another.

It was absolutely not staged. Chris Rock was flustered and shot. He he leaned in thinking perhaps he was going to embrace him or kind of trash talk back to him. He was stunned by the embrace and you could tell when Will Smith was shouting back to him that it was no joke.
All staged to get views because nobody watches anymore.

Chris Rock could press charges just as easily for a slap as a punch. He already has said he will not do so
If it had been Liam Neeson who slapped him he would've pressed charges....Oh who am I kidding if Neeson had went up there he probably would've snapped his neck like a pencil.

Which leads me to wonder, let's say Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) had made the joke instead of Chris (Rock). Would Will have made that walk across the stage? lol...I'm going to guess not.

HA!...Right!?...Yeah I think Will may have given the Rock a look but I don't think he would dare jump out of that seat and face off with him...If Dwyane slapped him it would give him brain damage for life lol

People from all sides are attacking Will Smith for it... shame. Personally, I love seeing a man stand up for his wife. Don't care how mild the joke was or what the history is in their marriage or any of that. The man saw that his wife wasn't amused and stood in the gap. Well done by Will, IMO.

And I'm not trying to be some kind of tough guy or a knight in shining armor or whatever... truth is I probably wouldn't have had the balls to do what Will did. I just think it was the appropriate response. My wife disagrees... she thinks it was thin-skinned.

Carlin is dead. Louis CK is on the I am sorry I showed my wenis comeback tour. Chris Rock is blatantly racist and accepted because of this day and age. Which once again Carlin doesn’t live in and Louis CK isn’t really a part of.

What if one of the ladies that hosted the Oscars last night made that joke…….and he slapped one of them? Discuss amongst yourselves.

Chris’ racial comedy was at its peak when Carlin was alive and CK was relevant

I probably wouldn’t have slapped someone of Chris Rock’s stature… what does he weigh?? 150ish?? I just wish Chris would have dodged the slap and shook his finger at Smith- whilst wearing a sh** eating grin. Would have been much more amusing to me, and besides… Will Smith let’s other guys bang his wife (who seemingly has a few screws loose herself)- I doubt he really cared that much.

I’m having a hard time canonizing Will Smith as “husband of the year” when he and his wife have a well publicized “open” marriage. Whatever the heck that means. He’s going to act all offended when his wife is the butt of a poor joke and yet he’ll chase anything with a skirt when said wife ain’t around. Color me unimpressed. Either you’re in love with your wife and faithful or you ain’t. (Unless he’s a radical Mormon of course.) Add to that, I think Will is having some mental issues these days. Seems a little off when I’ve seen him interviewed.
