Tim Tebow

I don't believe that is his fault.

I believe that he would be the exact same person if he never made it to the NFL. Which tells me that its not for show.

The only downside is that the Devil goes looking to make an example of someone like Tim because of his fan base. I just hope he stays strong enough in his faith to make it through the trying times.

Where do you Tebow people come from? This thread now belongs in the politics forum.

If Florida fans saw the Volnation board had a Tim Tebow thread they would be proud.

I'm so sick and tired of the media love and fan love feast for a guy that completes about 40% of his passes and makes God awful throws. I respect the human being everyone says he is and will admitt it's amazing what is happening but it's not his "QBing" that is winning games.

Did you watch the game Sunday? ESPN gave him the highest playoff game rating they've ever awarded.

a lot of people say a few things:

1. he is an evangelical Christian, and the point is to reach as many people as possible.
2. he has always done this stuff. You can go back to high school and he was doing it, why should he stop now just because there are cameras and the media focuses on it?
3. he backs it up. he does plenty of good things in his life and very few bad, which shows he means what he portrays on Sundays.

While it is hard to argue with 3, personally, i feel like once his open worship of God became more about Tim Tebow than about God, he should have toned it down or stopped all together. There is no need to come out and pray in front of a bunch of cameras when you can pray in the locker room before you come onto the field, and it is to the point where the focus is brought more on Tebow than on God. Hell, it's not even called praying when i drop to a knee to pray now. it's called "Tebowing."

I didn't like Tebow at Florida because it was Florida. Hell I wouldn't have liked Peyton Manning if he played at Florida.

I think what has happened with the Broncos is remarkable, and I am pulling for him. I do think the praying is a bit overdone in regard to making a show out of it, but as one said in an earlier post, Tebow is a much better role model than many who are in the news for negative reasons.

No he isn't a great QB compared to other NFL QB's passing abilities, but he is a great team leader and motivator. And he is a winner.

Examine your own true reason for feeling hatred toward this man, and if you are honest with yourself, you might find you are just trying to fool yourself.

Don't hate him or like him. Just enjoying all the varied comments. And, maybe, poking a stick every once in awhile.

I don't hate him either, I just think he's setting himself up for a big letdown with all the pious stuff. When the letdown comes, I hope it's a really juicy story of Tiger proportions....

Who's peekin' out from under a stairway
Calling a name that's lighter than air
Who's bending down to give me a rainbow
Everyone knows it's Tebow.

I sang this to the tune of "Log" from Ren & Stimpy

What was the intended tune?

Don't mind showing my age. Most know it's close to 80. Thanks. I was wondering what to change it to after the holidays and a very good friend suggested this one.

I don't hate Tebow, or even dislike him, I'm just tired of all the media hype about him. Every story I see on him paints him to be this miracle worker that's the right hand of God or something. I don't like mixing religion and sports. That said, I'm left with the dreadful task of rooting for him this weekend because I hate the Pats. I hate the Pats with a deep, deep passion. I hate the Pats more than Bama even. I hope Robert Ayers breaks Brady. Did I mention I hate the Pats?

I don't even watch NFL anymore, but Denver doesn't seem to have a chance. So, now they're miracles. How appropriate.
