Tim Priest was livid

Tell that to Clemson, tell that to South Carolina, tell that to every team that runs the GUN. Most teams that run the GUN do NOT go under center even when it is 3 and very short.

If we go under the center, fumble the ball or lose 5, I guarantee you all of you are complaining about that.

That ONE series is NOT what lost this game.

You're right but years of terrible decisions as tennessee's head coach says otherwise.

Maybe Currie should consider hiring an armchair.

Could probably get a good deal at Nathan Arizona's Unpainted Furniture, and the goal line calls couldn't be worse than yesterday.

Another option: Let the QB call the plays.

"Go to the sprinkler by the bush at the end of the driveway and cut left."

Or an old favorite that Florida used to its advantage:

"Fire Drill."

What kind of message does it send to your offensive line when you don't have the confidence to line up and get one yard with a bevy of good backs? In 3 effin plays. Trey Smith was destroying Florida's defensive line all game. That series and the interception by Duke Dawson was my breaking point. I'm done with Botch.

Well, if we had a running back that could average, say, 7.4 ypc, I'm sure we would have run more in the red zone.

Come on, apologists. Tell me again how stupid I am.

Where would we find a guy like that? They don't grow on orange trees, you know...

The thing about arm chair coaches - had plays been called differently and failed - then the armchair coaches would be saying - why didn't they call play X which they did?

Hindsight allows 'arm chair' coaches to always win and never lose.

Arm chair coaches have no clue what the team practiced. They have no clue what the game plan was. They have no clue as to whether the play failed because of execution or because the other team guessed right.

Arm chair coaches don't put the hard work that this team (which includes both coaches and players) puts in getting ready for the game.

All they are are BIG MOUTHS who think they KNOW EVERYTHING and use that to spin fans into a frenzy.

So tired of some in the fan base.

Peyton Manning was very lucky that he played at Tennessee before social media was prevalent.

Not going for two against FL is not arm chairing.Every person in the state of Tn would have done it a couple years ago against Fl. Not giving the ball to John Kelly on the one is just plain STUPID. NOT CALLING TIME OUT AGAINST GEORGIA TECH WHEN ALL 15 PEOPLE AT MY HOUSE ARE SAYING TIME OUT TIME OUT TIME OUT IS NOT ARM CHAIRING. I LIKE MOST THINGS ABOUT COACH JONES EXCEPT HIS GAME DAY COACHING. He makes Mark Richt, who was not good on game day look like a genius.

You do know who Tim Priest is and what he did here, right? He's not some arm chair

Tim Priest clearly not a true Vol fan. Needs to go root for Bama....

(I shouldn't have to type this, but this is clear blue font).

Tim Priest is hiding behind his long tenure. Sorry, he doesn't get a pass to bash our staff and team. Sit down old goat!

Every game seems the same with Butch at the wheel. 90% of the time (not counting give me games) we start the game adjusting to the opposition rather than them adjusting to us and its gets worse as the game goes on. Total chaos from start to finish. The few occasions where we have generated a lead we blew it by the 4th quarter. I would guess if we had played Vanderbilt yesterday would have been very similar.

Most of us work for a living. When we screw up at our jobs, we get criticized, regardless of how hard we worked. Either you get the job done right or you don't get it done right, and when you don't, you get criticized. That's how things work in the real world.

Someday, when you work or when you're a paying customer and don't get your money's worth, you'll understand.

Fuad Reveis called running a pro style qb in read option assine

It's amazing to me that everyone that has played the game or coached are all saying the same thing. Yet some people just seem to know more even though they have never played or coached still want to justify what's going on. I like Butch and I want him to succeed but you can't keep doing the same crap. At some point something has to give

I have a very good understanding of football enough to know that one series of plays in the first half generally don't decide the outcome of a football game.

It would be different if it was one series. It's every short yardage situation.....to include those away from the goaline. Drive killers if you will.
